Figs wrapped with crispy bacon
Preheat the oven to 200C/400F/Gas 6.
Make a criss-cross in the top of each fig, pinch the base to expand the opening at the top, and stuff each with a Camembert piece. Season, to taste, with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
Heat the butter in a small ovenproof frying pan and fry the figs for one minute. Place the pan into the oven and roast for six minutes, or until the cheeseis melted and golden.
In a separate pan, fry the bacon on both sides for 4-5 minutes, or until crisp. Remove the figs from the oven and wrap each one with a rasher of bacon.
To serve, place the bacon-wrapped figs onto a plate.
