Cherry pork with spicy bacon broccoli and sweet potato brown rice


Slow cooked chunks of juicy pork belly served with spicy broccoli, sweet rice and a cranberry orange sauce. Amazing!

  • 2 tbsp groundnut oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 2.5cm/1in fresh root ginger, finely grated
  • 2 whole dried red chillies, torn
  • 180g/6oz smoky bacon lardons, finely diced
  • 2 tbsp Shaoxing rice wine, or dry sherry
  • 1 large red carrot, sliced in quarters lengthwise, then cut into 5cm/2in pieces at an angle
  • 200g/7oz Tenderstem broccoli, cut into 2.5cm/1in pieces
  • 2 tbsp Chinkiang black rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp low sodium light soy sauce
