What does it take to chop, dice and slice like a pro?

Cookery schools in the UK are reporting rising interest from clients keen to fork out to spend a day in the kitchen with a top chef.

Vale House Kitchen cookery school in Bath runs a "chef skills" course for enthusiasts, as well as other classes in skills like butchery and jam-making, says owner Bod Griffiths.

Chef Kieran Lenihan teaches students how to get to grips with knife skills while making a chicken ballotine salad with fresh pesto.
