Hailing from Perth Australia Tame Impala describe their music as ‘psychedelic hypno-groove melodic rock’.

Fronted by 28-year-old Kevin Parker, Tame Impala describe their sound to be as “equally informed by The Beatles as it is beat poetry and English folk”.

The project began in the bedroom of Parker’s home in Perth, where he had been recording on an eight-track since the age of 13. Parker later assembled the group while working in a Lawyer’s office.

Their debut album ’Innerspeak’ in 2010 scooped up break-through awards back home and crossed international waters, leading to headlining tours in the US and Europe.

In 2012 their second album ‘Lonerism’ hit number 14 in the UK album charts and won much critical acclaim.
