  2. Cage the Elephant announce new album and share video

    Kentucky rockers Cage the Elephant have announced their first new album in four years.

    Social Clues, due on 19 April, is the their first album since the Grammy-winning Tell Me I'm Pretty.

    The band, led by brothers Matt (pictured above) and Brad Schultz have also shared the visuals to the first taster Ready To Let Go.

    We should say (for the second time today) that the video is free from any bad language but does contain some pretty grim imagery and buckets of fake blood.

  4. Pink's daughter sparks gun debate after rifle photos


    The singer's husband, Carey Hart, posted a video on Instagram of their seven-year-old daughter Willow shooting a rifle.

    Sharing the video (below) to his 913,000 followers, the former motocross racer said she was "getting pretty good" after he "started her shooting" at three years old.

    The video has received more than 300,000 views and 5,000 comments - with some people praising Mr Hart and others questioning his decision to allow his daughter to handle a firearm.

  5. Reports R Kelly is looking for label to release his album


    R Kelly has a new album recorded but is looking for someone to release it, according to Billboard.

    The music was apparently recorded while he was under contract at Sony but he left the label earlier this month.

    Kelly is facing accusations of sexual abuse following the six-part Lifetime channel documentary Surviving R Kelly.

    He has denied the allegations.

    Several artists who collaborated with the singer have removed tracks from streaming services, including Chance the Rapper and Celine Dion.

    Kelly's most recent album was 2016’s 12 Nights of Christmas.

  6. London man accused of harassing Kylie

    Kylie Minogue

    A man has been issued with a harassment warning by police in London following a complaint by Kylie Minogue.

    Police were called to a house in west London on 23 January following a complaint of a man harassing a female resident.

    Scotland Yard said the man was issued with a first instance harassment warning.

    This week, it was announced the singer was being made an Officer of the Order of Australia for "distinguished service to the performing arts as a national and international recording artist and entertainer".

  7. Beatles fans urged to submit amateur shots for new book

    To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Beatles’ last ever live performance on 30 January 1969, a new book and exhibition,The People’s Beatles, will chart their journey from Liverpool to become the most famous band in history.

    “There has comfortably been over 2000 books published about the Beatles, none however are quite like this,” said author Barry Miles.

    “Not only will this be a wonderful personal trip down memory lane, I’m hoping we’ll unearth a treasure trove of unseen or long-forgotten photos of the band who changed history.”

    Due to be Published in May 2019, the book will feature more than 500 unseen photographs – and their accompanying anecdotes.

    All profits from the book will go to music charity Nordoff-Robbins.

  8. Billie Eilish shares DISTURBING new video

    OK, we should state from the outset that the video (below) is not one to watch if you're of a fragile disposition or if you suffer from aichmophobia (that's a fear of needles, fact fans).


    That said, if you think you can stomach it - the teen singer-songwriter's latest single, Bury A Friend, is a sparse, atmospheric affair which sees her barely whisper-sing some pretty dark lyrics over some minimalist beats.

  9. Jess Glynne and H.E.R added to Brits line-up

    The first British female to ever score seven UK number one singles will perform at the Brit awards at the O2 in London next month.

    She's being joined by newcomer H.E.R - whose album has received five Grammy nominations including album of the year and best new artist.

    Jess described her as "one of my favourite artists."

    Other performers already announced include Calvin Harris, Dua Lipa, Sam Smith and Rag’n’Bone Man, George Ezra, Little Mix, Jorja Smith and The 1975.

  10. Veganism isn't just about health or animal welfare...

    Apparently it's also about getting to see Beyonce and Jay Z free for the rest of the your natural life.

    The celeb power couple have announced a new contest that allows fans the chance to win a lifetime of Bey and Jay concert tickets if they commit to going vegan.

    If you still love a bacon butty then don't worry, variations of veganism will apparently also be considered such as those who practice meat-free Mondays or have at least two veggie meals a day.

  11. Ed Sheeran makes kids happy

    Ed, Little Mix and Stormzy are the most popular artists amongst kids aged 7 to 17, according to a new report into music and wellbeing.

    The survey of 1,001 English children was published by Youth Music, a charity investing in music-making projects for young people.

    Four in ten of the respondents said music made them feel cool and 85% said it made them feel happier.

    Matt Griffiths from the charity said: "Young people are using music as a resource to draw on, a coping mechanism to support their personal wellbeing.

    The study follows research, published by the Musicians' Union (MU) in November, suggesting poorer children were being priced out of learning musical instruments.

    Children in low income households were half as likely to take music lessons.

    It's basically the equivalent of the Mercury and Courtney is up against eight other albums by the likes of The Presets and Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever.

    The AMP, now in its 14th year, is decided by a panel of 21 judges.

    According to one judge - music journalist Bernard Zuel "there was so much to sink teeth into".

  13. Alexandra Burke splits with Decca Records

    The X Factor winner and Strictly finalist took to social media to say she had parted ways with Decca Records.

    She released her third album, The Truth Is, in March last year - and it peaked at number 16 in the album charts.

    Alexandra is currently starring in a UK tour of the musical The Bodyguard but recently announced she would be recording new music - with whom remains to be seen/heard.

  14. Another music biopic is on the way

    Forget about a Las Vegas residency, everyone has one of them now.

    If you're a genuine superstar, what you need these days is a biopic.

    Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody is making stacks of cash around the world and we've got Elton John's Rocketman to look forward to later this year.

    Now, a Celine Dion biopic, titled The Power Of Love has been announced.

    The French-language film will trace the Canadian singer's life, from Quebec in the 1970s through to her rise to fame and meeting her future manager and husband Rene Angelil.

    No mention on whether it'll cover her winning the 1988 Eurovision Song Contest - but how could anyone forget that?

    French actress Valerie Lemercier will direct and star as Celine in the movie, which is due to be released in 2020.

    They don't work, or so Robbie Williams says.

    Well, tell that to poor Ariana Grande who added to her collection of tattoos a new inking which was supposed to say 7 Rings - the title of her massive hit song - in Japanese.

    Apparently what she has now is closer in meaning to "small cooking grill".

    Which is even more embarrassing if you're vegan.
