Emily Burns
Emily Burns
Sat 13 Jul 2013 BBC Introducing Stage
Supported by BBC Introducing in Coventry and Warwickshire

18 year-old Emily Burns is a singer-songwriter who’s going places. Her earliest experience of performing was when she and her Dad performed Somewhere Over The Rainbow at their local pub with Dad playing guitar and Emily singing. After that moment at the age of ten she decided that she wanted to write her own songs.

Emily has been strongly supported by her local BBC Introducing show in Coventry and Warwickshire. In 2012, they invited her down to the Musician’s Masterclass at Abbey Road Studios in London where she handed out some demo CDs. The in-house production team at Abbey Road loved her demo so much that they instantly signed Emily to their in-house production company, Cave Productions.

Her refreshing vocals and original writing have led Emily to this summer’s festival scene in a big way. She will be performing at T In The Park, Secret Garden Party and Woodstock festival in Poland.
