Craig Revel Horwood presents fab-u-lous music from the worlds of stage and screen.
He may be known as Strictly's Mr Nasty but Craig's role as a Strictly Come Dancing judge is just a tiny part of the contribution he has made to the world of dance and musical theatre over the last 30 years. He's worked as a performer, a choreographer and as director on the likes of Miss Saigon, Fiddler on the Roof, Cats, Chess, Sister Act and Sunset Boulevard. He has also appeared as Lavish, a trumpet playing, tap dancing drag act with a penchant for belting out Whitney Houston songs, a very scary Miss Hannigan in Annie, and choreographed the closing moments of the hit children’s film Paddington 2.
Tonight he reflects on his life upon the wicked stage alongside the BBC Concert Orchestra conducted by Alfonso Casado Trigo with special singing guests – Celinde Schoenmaker, Rob Houchen and Geronimo Rauch – as part of the annual visit to the Snape Proms at Snape Maltings in Suffolk. The programme includes music from Pirates of the Caribbean, Moulin Rouge, La La Land, Guys and Dolls, James Bond and The Greatest Showman.
No di-sah-sters dahling. It’s going to be a-ma-zing!
