Golden Touch

Overflowing with exuberance and teeming with panache, Santigold visits E9 with all the ingredients needed to start a party.

Philadelphia's Santi White was once tasked with spotting the best new talent for Epic Records, but it wasn't long before the former ska-punk band vocalist was making a name for herself rather than others.

Singles L.E.S. Artistes and Creator built early hype on the blogs, while Santogold's debut ended 2008 high on many writers best album lists. A minor title change later and Santigold's name began to pop up on all manor of high profile singles, including collaborations with Pharrell, Beastie Boys, Karen O, and M.I.A., and writing credits on hits for Lily Allen and Christina Aguilera.

She comes to Hackney with new album Master of My Make-Believe and its debut release Disparate Youth winning fans on both sides of the Atlantic.
