6 Music at Latitude 2014
The BBC Radio 6 Music Stage returns to Latitude festival this weekend and will once again host a number of great live music acts including Mogwai, Röyksopp & Robyn, James Vincent McMorrow, Conor Oberst, Damien Jurado, The War On Drugs and Lykke Li to name but a few.
6 Music’s Tom Ravenscroft and Steve Lamacq will be at the festival playing special DJ sets and Tom will be presenting his show live from the site in Henham Park, Suffolk. He will be chatting to Mogwai who are Friday night’s headliners on The 6 Music Stage. The Scottish quintet have established themselves on the international stage through a prolific recorded output and a commitment to touring that few of their peers can match. Tom will also be joined by the new young pyschedelic Kettering four-piece, Temples, and there will be a Guest Mix from Tom's favourite Baltimore band, Future Islands.
Tom will be bringing you Friday nights from festivals across the Summer including Latitude, Green Man and Bestival. Listeners will be able to experience all the excitement and build up as they gear up for their Friday nights with Tom bringing the vibes from around the festival sites, as well as his usual brand of dry wit and humour and some mind-blowing festival mixes.
As well as Damon Albarn headlining on the Saturday night, Latitude will feature performances from Bombay Bicycle Club, HAIM, Two Door Cinema Club, Anna Calvi and many more.
