This clip could be used to illustrate the effects of the introduction of the National Health Service in Scotland. Use statistics from the time on life expectancy, infant mortality and other issues and discuss the degree to which changes resulted from the NHS. Use individual case studies to build up a before and after picture of health care and debate where in society the changes were most marked. Link to study of current health inequalities.
