James, Will, Elle, Alaa and Sooz from Fulford School told us what they thought of the latest Doctor Who novel from Dan Abnett.
What is the story about?
Will: The story of Martha is about the Master taking over the Earth and Martha trying to stop him. She tries telling stories about the Doctor and herself which gives hope to the survivors but gets her into a lot of trouble.
Elle: As most people know, Doctor Who is based on mysteries. I am not going to give this story away, but Martha travels the world telling stories about the Doctor. She tells everyone to spread the word.
What are the characters like?
James: It's good because they're the characters from the TV series, whilst adding a few extra people in too.
Will: Martha was very friendly, especially with Aleesha. Griffin was very bossy and, in my mind, intimidating. The survivors were hungry, hopeful and angry.
What were your favourite bits?
Soozy: The main plot rather than the sub plots.
Elle: My favourite bit would be near the beginning where the Doctor and Martha had to run away from their enemies, because in my imagination I could physically see them.
What were your least favourite bits?
Alaa: I thought the plot was a little tedious at times, but had exciting moments in it.
James: The bits where Martha is in hiding because it gets repetitive!
Would you recommend this book?
Soozy: I thought the book was very good. It has a good storyline - very fast paced and the good use of language makes you want to read on. I would definitely recommend the book.
Elle: Overall, I think it is a winner. I would go as far as saying that it is an amazing and superb book. I also think this is one of the best series yet!
