The Forever Trap

The Forever Trap

  •

Ellie, Georgina, Matthew, Ben and Miles the Stonehenge School, Wiltshire, told us what they thought of the latest Doctor Who audiobook, written by Dan Abnett and read by Catherine Tate.

What is the story about?

Ellie: Catherine Tate reads this exiting story about the Doctor and Donna becoming trapped on the Edifice.

Georgina: A salesman appears in the TARDIS, trying to sell the Doctor and Donna a luxury flat in a space station. Donna touches the brochure and they are transported to the wardrobe of their new apartment.

Matthew: Their neighbours are creatures that have been gathered from across the universe and, because they are there against their will, they fight amongst themselves.

Georgina: The Doctor and Donna decide to find out what is happening and descend into the heart of the Edifice, coming across new-found aliens for Donna and old enemies for the Doctor

Ben: Many of these creatures are not meant to be in the same place at the same time and the further down the Doctor and Donna travel, the angrier or more scared the creatures become.

Miles: Not all is at it seems. Who is the mysterious boss? What is eating away at the Edifice itself?

Ben: The Doctor has to use all his power to stop it and put things right

What did you like/dislike about the book?

Ellie: I liked the way Catherine Tate used her voice in different ways for the different characters - it helped me to picture them in my head.

Georgina: She did a good impression of the Doctor.

Matthew: It was a good story, but could have been a bit shorter.

Would you recommend it to other people?

Georgina: Yes, the story is such a twister; you can't help but want to keep listening.

Ben: I would recommend this story. Georgina and I listened to the story on Sunday and we liked the story so much we listened to it all over again on Monday.

Miles: I would recommend this CD to anyone because there are so many twists and turns round every corner; you won't be able to stop listening.
