The Doctor is moving! Or rather, the Doctor Who production team will be upping sticks, although not for a wee while. Menna Richards, Director of BBC Cymru Wales has confirmed that a site at Roath Basin in Cardiff Bay has been identified for the new production base which will bring together a range of BBC dramas, including Doctor Who, Casualty and TV soap Pobol y Cwm. She declared, 'We look forward to welcoming the cast and crew of the enormously successful Casualty to this new centre of excellence to work side-by-side with the other award-winning dramas which are already made in Wales.'

And talking of award-winning, Doctor Who achieved another double victory at the prestigious National Television Awards on Wednesday night. David Tennant won the award for Outstanding Drama Performance for his role of the Doctor and Doctor Who triumphed in the Most Popular Drama category.

Looking forward to future awards, we've got our fingers crossed for Carey Mulligan who played Sally Sparrow in Blink. Carey has just received a BAFTA nomination for Best Actress for her role in An Education. Good luck, Carey!

A quick reminder that a number of recent Doctor Who scripts are now available online. Other online scripts include Smith and Jones available from the BBC's Writers Room. Links to both these sites are on the right hand side.

And finally, production for the new site rolls onwards, ever onwards... We hope to bring you an update of exactly where the new series is up to very soon.
