Tennant Triumphs At NTAs.

David Tennant's portrayal of the Doctor has won him the Outstanding Drama Performance National Television Award.

This is the third year in a row that David has won an award at the NTAs, having previously been named Most Popular Actor in 2006 and 2007.

David accepted his award in a live link from Stratford, where he his currently performing with The Royal Shakespeare Company.

David went on to to make a momentous announcement - that he will leave Doctor Who when he has completed the filming of four special episodes which will be screened in 2009 and early in 2010.
