Edal is surprised to see the Doctor carrying what he thinks is a weapon. 'This is my Reacting Vibrator,' the Doctor tells him. 'I'm able to do my calculations from this.'
Exorse goes to look for the Doctor's travelling companions while the Doctor himself accompanies Edal to the city.
