The Doctor tries to edge nearer the TARDIS but one of the soldiers grabs him. Vicki gets away, and is reunited with Ian and Barbara.
'Vicki, it's all right,' says Barbara. 'We'll get him away.'
'But how?' asks Vicki. 'What can we do?'
