How to make tortilla chips and dips

You will need

  • 3 whole-wheat tortillas
  • Olive oil spray
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika


Time: 20 minutes prep to prep and 10 minutes cooking time


  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees
  2. Cut each wrap in half, then quarters, then each quarter in half again to make eight chips
  3. Spray lightly with olive oil, scatter over the smoked paprika and toss everything together so the chips are evenly coated in the oil and paprika
  4. Lay the chips into an even layer on a baking tray
  5. Bake for 10 minutes then remove from the oven and allow to cool. They will crisp up when they have cooled!



  • 400g chickpeas (drained)
  • ½ lemon juice
  • ½ clove garlic
  • 1 tbs tahini
  • 2 tbs extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tbs water
  • Salt and pepper 


Place all ingredients into a food processor and blend until smooth. Drizzle with olive oil.



  • 5 large ripe tomatoes
  • ½ red onion
  • ½ red chilli
  • Small bunch of fresh coriander
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Salt and pepper


  1. Finely chop the tomatoes, red onion, chilli and coriander and place in a bowl (Grab a grown-up to help chop!)
  2. Squeeze in the lime juice
  3. Season with salt and pepper
  4. Mix everything together and serve



  • 2 ripe avocados
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • ¼ red onion finely chopped
  • 2 ripe tomatoes
  • salt and pepper


  1. Half the avocados, remove the stone and scoop out the flash with a spoon
  2. Place the avocado flesh into a bowl, squeeze in the lime juice and mash with a fork until smooth
  3. Finely chop the red onion and tomatoes, then add to the mashed avocado, season with salt and pepper
  4. Give everything a good mix together
  5. Enjoy!
