How to make overnight oats

You will need

  • Jam jar or mason jar
  • 40g oats
  • 100ml milk/coconut milk
  • 2tbs 0 fat greek/coconut yoghurt
  • Fresh or frozen fruit (for toppings)
  • Peanut butter (for toppings)
  • Cinnamon (for toppings)
  • Honey (for toppings)

Method:

Prep Time: 5 mins

Set time: 3 hours (or overnight)

Portion size: Serves 1

  1. Put your milk, oats and yoghurt into a jar and mix well 
  2. Add your chosen toppings
  3. Place in the fridge and let set overnight and enjoy

If you are lactose intolerant, you can also use almond milk/coconut milk and coconut yoghurt instead of cow's milk/yoghurt for this recipe!

You can invent your own flavours of this overnight oats recipe based on your favourite things! Here are some ideas to get you started:

Apple and cinnamon

  • 1 apple
  • 1tsp honey
  • Pinch of cinnamon

Banana, cinnamon and peanut butter

  • 1 sliced banana
  • 1 tbsp peanut butter
  • 1 tsp honey
  • Pinch of cinnamon

Strawberry and raspberry

  • 1 handful of raspberries
  • 1 handful of chopped strawberries

Mango and coconut 

  • 1/2 diced mango
  • 1 tbsp desiccated coconut
