Wolverhampton Wanderers

Wolverhampton Wanderers, or Wolves as they are commonly known, are back in the Premier League for the first time in seven years. They have been transformed by their manager Nuno Espirito Santo who won the Championship at his first attempt. The talented young squad has been put together with the help of Ronaldo's agent Jorge Mendes.

Manager

Manager Nuno Espirito Santo often referred to as Nuno led the team to win the Championship with two games to spare last season.

Star Player

The midfielder set the Championship alight last season with his passing ability and link-up play. He made his debut for Porto at 17 and captained the Portuguese side in the Champions League before following Nuno Espírito Santo to Wolverhampton last July for a Championship record fee of £15.8m.

Star Signing

Portugual's number one Rui Patricio joined Wolves this summer, having been one of seven Sporting Lisbon players who terminated their own contracts following an attack by fans last season. The 30-year-old goalkeeper is likely to replace John Ruddy in goal who was named in the Championship team of the season following their promotion.

Rising Star

Rafa Mir, a 20-year-old Spanish striker, was signed for £2m from Valencia in January, where he had previously played under Wolves manager Nuno. He was given the famous number 9 shirt last season and only made four appearance so far, however he's seen as a very promising youngster.

Ground

The Wanderers play at Molineux stadium, which has been their home since 1889. It is situated in Wolverhampton city centre in the West Midlands.

Mark Rhodes (right) from CBBC's presenting duo Sam and Mark is an avid Wolves fan.

Kit

Wolverhampton's city motto, is 'Out of Darkness Cometh Light' and it's from this motto that the football team chose it's tradition gold and black colours.

Cardiff City

After finishing in 12th place in the Championship in 2016-2017 season, manager Neil Warnock built a defensively strong and experienced team to claim second position in the Championship last season. It will be the second time they've played in the Premier League, having last played in the top tier in the 2013-2014 season.

With Cardiff's promotion, Neil Warnock became the first manager to win eight promotions in the English professional leagues.

Star Player

Following the appointment of Neil Warnock as Cardiff manager, Hoilett became Warnock's first signing at the club having previously worked together at QPR. The 2017–18 season saw Junior Hoilett's most productive season, finishing with 12 goals from his midfield position.

Star Signing

Josh Murphy joined Cardiff from Norwich City for £12m having scored 9 goals in 39 appearances from midfield last season. Neil Warnock admitted taking a 14-hour flight in order to convince Malaysian owner Vincent Tan over the signing of Josh Murphy who was his number one target this summer.

Rising Star

Scottish international Callum Paterson was one of the stars of Cardiff's promotion season winning the young player of the year at the club. He started the season as right-back but Warnock could see he wasn’t a natural defender so played him in an advanced midfield position instead. The gamble paid off and resulted in him scoring 10 goals for the club.

Ground

Cardiff have been playing at the Cardiff City Stadium since 2009 having moved across the road from their previous ground Ninian Park. The redevelopment cost £48m and increased the capacity from 21,508 to 33,280.

Celebrity Fan

You may recognise CBeebies presenter Alex Winters who was born in Cardiff and is a fan of the Bluebirds.

Kit

Cardiff are nicknamed 'The Bluebirds' and the club had been traditionally playing in blue since it became known as Cardiff City 1908.

Fulham

Fulham gained their promotion to the Premier League having beaten Aston Villa 1-0 in the play-off final at Wembley in May. They finished the season two points behind Cardiff having lost for the first time in 2018 on the final day of the season to Birmingham City. It ended a club record 23 game unbeaten run in the league. Under the leadership of Slavisa Jokanovic, the free-scoring talented young squad made them the team to beat in the second half of the 2017-2018 season.

Manager

Slavisa Jokanovic has a point to prove in the Premier League, having previously secured Watford's promotion from the Championship in 2015. He was sacked by the Hornets before the Premier League season had started, so Fulham's first game verses Crystal Palace will be his first outing in the English top tier.

Star Player

Tom Cairney was named Fulham's player of the season and became the English Football League's Player of the Year at the 2017 London Football Awards. He captained Fulham back to the Premier League after a four year absence.

Star Signing

Jean Micheal Seri is a central midfield playmaker who dictates the tempo of a game and can play killer balls to create chances for the forwards. The Ivorian finished with the most accurate passes (2,328) in Ligue 1 last season and his move is seen as one of the league's biggest transfers of the summer.

Rising Star

Ryan Sessegnon only turned 18 in May but scored 16 goals last season earning him the Championship Player of the Year and the Football League's Young Player of the Season. He was so impressive he was called up by Gareth Southgate to train with the England Squad prior to the World Cup and looks set to have his full England call up in the coming season.

Ground

Craven Cottage is located in Fulham, London. It has been Fulham's home ground since 1896.

Celebrity Fan

Popstar Lily Allen has been a season ticket holder for Fulham, having supported the club since she was a child.

Kit

Fulham having been wearing a black and white kit since 1903. In this year's play-off final verses Aston Villa, the club asked everyone to wear white to make a visual 'white wall' of support.
