Omari's vegan banana fritters

You will need

  • 4 overripe bananas
  • 60grams soft brown sugar
  • 1tsp vanilla extract
  • 1tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1tsp grounded nutmeg
  • A pinch Salt
  • 125grams plain flour
  • Vegetable oil

Step 1

  • Take four overripe bananas and 60g of brown sugar and mash them with a fork in a large mixing bowl. Once you have done that, add the vanilla, nutmeg, cinnamon and salt and mix.

Step 2

  • Now add the flour and mix until you have a thick batter.

Step 3

  • Next heat some vegetable oil in a frying pan. Make sure that you get an adult to help when using a hob as it can get very hot - especially the oil in the pan. After a minute flip the fritter to cook the other side. 

Step 4

  • Once they are cooked on both sides, put on a plate to cool and sprinkle with icing sugar and there you have it...Vegan Banana Fritters!
