Playwright and screenwriter Mike Bartlett got his first broadcast commission via BBC Writersroom, with his Radio 3 play 'Not Talking'.

He discusses his journey from writing for stage to Radio drama and Television screenwriting with the BBC's Henry Swindell.

Mike talks us through his writing process across different mediums, how he finds inspiration, how to structure (including iambic pentameter), and his tips for aspiring writers. 

Mike's latest show for BBC One, 'Doctor Foster' starring Suranne Jones began on 9th September 2015. His multi award-winning stage play 'Charles III' is currently on tour in the UK and about to transfer to Broadway.
