Promising young Welsh actor Wesley Nelson has two Reasons To Be Cheerful, as he graces the London stage and stars in the newly released Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll, a film on the life of musician Ian Dury.

13-year-old Nelson, who has appeared in hit television dramas such as Doctors, Casualty and Where The Heart Is, plays a young Dury in the film, with Lord of the Rings actor Andy Serkis playing the man. Read more about the film on BBC Local.

2010 looks set to be a promising year for the young actor. Following his performance in last year's production of Samuel Adamson's Mrs Affleck at the National Theatre, London, Nelson is treading the boards once again at the same venue.

He is currently starring as Sacha in Tom Stoppard and André Previn's Every Good Boy Deserves Favour, which is on for a limited run until 17 February 2010.
