The 11th of November 2008 marks the 90th anniversary of the Armistice - the day that brought the fighting in the First World War to an end.

To commemorate the occasion, a major new exhibition is being held at the Imperial War Museum - 30 September 2008 - 6 September 2009. It aims to tell the story of some 90 inviduals whose lives were shaped and changed by the events of the First World War - both on the front line and on the home front.

The One Show was given a preview of the exhibition - an array of rarely-seen items from their unique World War One collection.
