Three new celebrities complete the Strictly 2016 line-up!

The final three celebrities for Strictly Come Dancing 2016 have been announced, completing an already-stellar cast from across the worlds of sport, music, television and politics.

Olympic long-jumper Greg Rutherford; comedian and EastEnders star Tameka Empson; and actress Lesley Joseph were revealed live on The One Show this evening.

Fresh from picking up a bronze medal in Rio, Greg will be hoping to add the Glitterball Trophy to an already-impressive medal haul, including Gold at the Commonwealth Games, European Championships and World Championships. He’s powerful, determined and always strives to win – but, crucially, can he dance? Check out Greg’s full profile for more…

Whether you know Tameka best as Kim Fox in EastEnders, or as one-third of madcap comedy trio 3 Non Blondes, it’s safe to say you don’t know her for her dancing. She’ll be swapping the Square for sequins, and while she’s got no shortage of comic abilities, Tameka means business as she sets her sights on the Final. Get more from Tameka via her profile.

Lesley Joseph has been gracing our screens and our stages for nearly 50 years, but ballroom is a whole other challenge. She’s perhaps best known as Dorien Green in Birds of a Feather, but don’t assume Lesley is anything like her character – it’s less of the cougar, more of the competitive.

"I can be very competitive when I want to be but I don’t want to spoil the fun of Strictly,” says Lesley. “I would be over the moon if I got to Blackpool. Blackpool is what I’m aiming for.” For more from Lesley, take a look at her Strictly profile.

Greg, Tameka and Lesley join the previously-announced celebrities Judge Rinder, Claudia Fragapane, Anastacia, Naga Munchetty, Danny Mac, Daisy Lowe, Louise Redknapp, Melvin Odoom, Ore Oduba, Laura Whitmore, Will Young and Ed Balls. Take a look at all their Strictly profiles ahead of the launch show on Saturday 3rd September.
