Susannah and Anton bow of out Strictly in Week Two

No one wants to be the first to go home, but unfortunately we have to send one couple on their way after a short but sweet Strictly experience. Tonight, that couple was the wonderful Susannah Constantine and Anton Du Beke. *sobs*

The dancing duo scored just 12 points in Week One with a fun and fruity Samba, matching that number this week with their classic Foxtrot to Frank Sinatra hit They Can't Take That Away From Me. Unfortunately it wasn't enough to save them, and they landed in the first dance-off of 2018 against Lee Ryan and his partner Nadiya Bychkova.

After performing their Saturday night routines again, the Judges voted unanimously to save Lee and Nadiya. Judge Darcey Bussell justified her decision, saying: “I have to say that both couples made a great improvement tonight. But the couple I would like to save on a more rounded, stronger performance is Lee and Nadiya.”

Susannah and Anton were cast out of the competition after three votes, with Head Judge Shirley Ballas adding she would've also saved the remaining couple.

Despite being first to leave, Susannah remained positive about her experience and fellow celebs, telling Tess: "I know it has gone a bit quick, but you know what I just feel so lucky to have had three weeks learning to dance with Anton and to have met all these amazing people. And for me they are the most important and I feel really privileged to have met them all, and it has been amazing."

Her Pro partner Anton shared his feelings too, saying: "It’s just all too brief, I have had the most fabulous time with Susannah, she is going to be a great loss to the show."

We're definitely going to miss these two, but thankfully they'll be back on our screens tomorrow on It Takes Two with Zoe Ball. See how they're feeling at 6.30pm on BBC Two!
