Final - Rehearsals

Post categories:

BBC Strictly Suzy | 13:00 UK time, Thursday, 15 December 2011

After fourteen weeks of hard graft, spray tans and sequins, our finalists will be performing four routines under the glitter ball at Blackpool Tower this Saturday.

Each duo will be making their debut in the grand ballroom by showcasing a variety of performances, including a specially choreographed show dance, in the hope of being crowned the winners of Strictly Come Dancing 2011.

With three amazing contenders for the trophy this year we are definitely in for a fantastic finale - we caught up with Chelsee & Pasha, Harry & Aliona and Jason to enjoy a sneak peek at their showdance training.

I don't believe how fast this year's scd has flown (no pun intended due to some of the antics of the judges) I have throughly enjoyed the shows. As usual santa has not made my wish come true to be at the live shows, but if not there in body will be in spirit on the night. Harry and Aliona to win. Hip Hip Hooray Helen from Southport xxx

  • Comment number 5.

Surprised at the similar moves shown by both team Hali & team Chasha for their show dances. May well come down to the music and which is more inspiring.

Wont really matter how the judges score things as it is viewer votes only that count.

    Go team Chasha❣❣❣

Zoe keeps saying Jason and Christina broke strictly records with4 tens for their A/T.May I remind you so did Karen and Mark. In our minds the best A'T

  • Comment number 18.

Go team Hali - you're tha best and the cutest and we need a man to win this year! Think Harry manages to win votes both from the young and the not so young...go, go ,go!

  • Comment number 19.

My great grandfather Arthur Lowcock was a key developer and director of the Blackpool Tower Company over 100 years ago so will watch the show with great interest tomorrow night because of the family connection! Good luck!

  • Comment number 20.

I heard Kristina say on BBC Breakfast that they will only perform 2 dances before one couple is knocked out, and the remaining 2 couples go on to dance their other 2 dances. That is so unfair!! They've all been working so hard on 4 dances all week, so should be allowed to dance all 4, then announce the winner. It means we won't get to see one of the couples perform their new routine of the dance they hadn't been given yet. What a disappointment!! :-(
Or at least have the New Dance and Showdance for each couple first, before one couple is eliminated, rather than the Judge's Choice first.

    @ Lilly_Lane

Agree, since they changed the order of when dances are performed it has all been a bit of a mess. Apparently Pamela & James's AT was brilliant last year, yet all we got to see was a rehearsal run through later.

I see in the paper this morning that Alesha has said the final is a 'two horse race' as far as she is concerned, ie Harry and Chelsee. Just as well the judges aren';t voting then isn't it? Is she really allowed to mouth off like before the final and show such partiality? I have a feeling that Jason may do better than she thinks and this sort of thing can only do him some favours as people like myself, who don't usually vote, might take to the phone to redress the balance.

I have voted in the past but when I saw the size of my phone bill changed my mind. Now that no part of the phone income goes to charity I don't bother. However, I broke my rule this year and voted for Jason after watching his Argentine Tango which I thought was terrific. So Alesha, you have made me think.....

  • Comment number 23.

Actually Kristina and Jason are the first ever 40 for an AT, Karen and Mark scored 39 as Craig didnt give a ten!!! :)

  • Comment number 24.

Love the dances everyone chose! I have been voting for team Hali all the way and now won't change my mind now so go HARRY JUDD AND ALIONA VILANI!

  • Comment number 25.

    Hi all,

Well the final is upon us and I'm only getting into comment now busy week so far.

I like the look of the final dance line up and a great set of 4 dances.

Now there are one or two problems I can see with some of the dances.

Chelsee and Pasha have yet to do a Rumba and out of all the 16 couples who peformed Rumba during the series only Harry and Aliona emerged with gold stars from their Rumba so it is a bit hit or miss if it will go their way.

Harry and Aliona not really sold on their show dance music choice Great Ballas Of Fire now in a showdance I believe you have to incorporate different dance styles into the routine and there is about only or two dance styles you can put in and one of them is a Jive and I do hope lack of variety doesn't cost them.

Jason and Kristina well the proof is in the dances but in all honesty I can see Jason finishing 3rd in my opinion either his Showdance or Salsa which some couples have not exactly emerged with gold stars from could be hit or miss mostly miss.

And with viewers favourite The Grant coming back we are in for an entertaining show will be commenting after the cinema on Saturday night so I won't be in to see it will Sky Plus it.

Hopefully the powers that be will be listening to us about those silly VT's and droppping them for next year.

    Keeeeeeeeeeeeep Dancing

  • Comment number 26.

Love all Chelsee and Pasha's dance choices - and the music for Rumba hoping so much that they can lift the Glitter Ball. Good Luck to them!

  • Comment number 27.

They are all looking good - may the best man or woman win! It's going to be an amazing night that's for sure!

  • Comment number 28.

Go Harry, it looks fab, great speed!!!! i am sure you will be the winner!!!!!!!!!!

  • Comment number 29.

I wish all three couple the very best luck. They all deserve to win. Go team Jastina!

  • Comment number 30.

I would really like to see Harry & Aliona win the Glitterball yet any of the three could win. Being a performer, Jason is probably going to do the best showdance. I just hope we get the chance to see Harry's American Smooth.

  • Comment number 31.

This year it is really too close to call - which will make for a great final. But, I'm amazed that people think that the choice of music will be a deciding factor - as if Michael Buble fans are going to vote for Harry and Aliona just because they're using one of his tracks (and itwon't, of course, be Buble singing it!)

The choice of music is only important in that it is entirely appropropriate to the dance being performed. Poor dancing to any piece of music won't cut it, whereas brilliant dancing to an indifferent track certainly will.

Remember it's the dancing we're judging... nothing else!

  • Comment number 32.

love the music & dance info - soooooooooooooo exciting - going to be very hard for just one couple to win - I'd like Jason just for Kristina to win - as she's put a lot into the last 4 years and is an amaazzziiiiinngg dancer & choreographer! BRING IT ON!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Comment number 33.

We, Jastina's fans want Jason to win, too. Jcan, join us on Jason's blog, please and show your support there. Thanks in advance. Although, all the finalists are brilliant and each of them deserve to be a winner. Good luck to all three finalists.

can't wait, Harry has been amazing (but so has Chelsea)
