MY TOP FIVE GAMES OF ALL TIME
(In no particular order)

Streetfighter

Streetfigher has passed the test of time. And when talking about games with longevity steetfigher defiantly has got top ratings from me. You'll have someone who is 40 years old playing streetfigher, and also someone who's 14. And that is rare when it comes to computer games.

THE WORLD OF GAMING ACCORDING TO KANO - WEEK 2

Producer Woman | 10:30 UK time, Thursday, 9 September 2010

I'm back. This is week two of my gaming takeover. Last week I shared some of my gaming favourite and most embarrassing moments. This week I'll be telling you my top tips and my perfect gaming soundtrack.

My Top 3 Gaming Tips

1) CHEAT..!! Cheat if you can! You've got to cheat. You have to block your opponents eyes sight at times, walk infront of the TV and all those type of things. You have to get dirty when your playing games.

2) Take the BEST controller! When I was young we used to have 1 real controller that came with the console, and if you wanted to buy an extra controller mum wasn't paying for that..!! So you had to buy the fake control pad also. And it wouldn't work as smoothly and the buttons would stick. So every time I played I always had to take the best control pad.

3) If you're having a good day on a game 'PUT SOME MONEY ON IT' Not excessive amounts, just from £1 upwards.

Gaming Soundtrack

Check out what tracks I'd listen to when playing some of my favourite games....

That's it for this week. I'll be back next week with my Top 5 games of all time.

I'm well appy these are free!

Treble T | 08:05 UK time, Thursday, 9 September 2010

I'm well appy now!

I'm feeling well chuffed cos I've realised how many free apps there are for my iTouch. With the number of available apps approaching the one million mark I thought I would share my 'appiness with you. (see what I did there).

Now I don't get paid much by the BBC so all the apps I use are free..yaay! Luv dat! I've been checking out the free apps for the Blackberry too but they just don't compare in number or quality (For all you BB fans I'll do a BB round up at a later date).

A world famous app is paper toss, well I got basketball throw, same concept but on a B.ball court.
Touch tennis is like the old arcade game pong and in keeping it old skool the ball is even square! Shazam is another great one the free edition is limited to checking out 4 tunes a month but for free whos complaining. Here's my top ten free apps for now, watch out for my top ten free blackberry apps:

1. Facebook app if you use facebook this is a must.(Nuff Said)

2. Twitter app same as above but tweeting

3. iBasketball free. Great fun

4. Shazam. Find out any tune almost, for free

5. Paper toss, stress reliever

6. Skype, standard free calls to other skype users

7. iChess, free chess game for the thinking man

8. Angry birds, very funy and popular game.

9. Remote desktop plus, control your PC from your idevice over Wi Fi

10. Gun range, brilliant free game set in an err gun range.

11. Sky Sports News: Keeping up to date with all sports news and an audio stream of the channel. WHAAAATTTT!!

Okay I know I said top 10 but bwooooy had to get that Sky Sports news app in self explanatory.

Let me know your fav apps so I can check em out and if they're any good they might make it into the top ten. C'mom get involved.

Max Reviews Tetris Party Deluxe.

Treble T | 08:04 UK time, Wednesday, 8 September 2010

So we can't play every game under the sun even if we try, so someone who always complains that she don't get no games is Max The mouth. Now you know we always take on these really challenging titles like Halo,Call of Duty or Red dead demption so when Max popped up we knew she had to play.......Tetris!! ha ha. Well Tetris party deluxe to be precise, spiced up for your Nintendo. Lets see if Max can get more than one line.

THE WORLD OF GAMING ACCORDING TO KANO

Producer Woman | 11:00 UK time, Thursday, 2 September 2010

Yo, this is the official Kano takeover. That means I'll be taking over the blog this week and for the whole month ahead. Hi-jack activity! Most artist like myself, love to game. And there isn't a more fitting venue for gaming than the tour bus. And as I'll be on "The Method" UK tour this month, let the games begin.....

Worst Game You've Ever Played

The worse game I've ever played has to be the first 50 Cent game 'Bulletproof'. For me personally I think they over done it, because if you're not a massive G Unit fan you couldn't really play it, so therefore it neglected a lot of gamers. I think they also went over the top with the 1 liners. It came across as a fake ghetto version of 'Metal Gear Solid'. The game play wasn't too good either. I don't want any problems with 50 but I played that game for about 20mins.

Longest Time You've Ever Played A Game

The longest game I've ever played is probably football manager on the PC....! You play that until the sun comes up and then it gets dark again. I remember playing that in my mum's bedroom when I was living at home and just spending TIMEEE on the PC playing that game. It's where you become the manager of a football team, you can start as a bottom team and work your way up! You proper get into it and check results, buy new players and its just like the game is never ending. So it can just go on for ever. I used to play it for at least defiantly 24hours. And my brother use to play it for like 3 days straight.

Most Embarrassing Defeat

My most embarrassing defeat was losing to my 3 year old nephew on Wii Tennis and I was NOT HAPPY about it. It was one of those situations where everyone thought I was letting him win but I so wasn't. I was trying my hardest..!! I came back the next day after practicing all night and FINSHED HIM! But it was still quite embarrassing that I originally lost.

Favourite Gaming Character (Hero or Villain)

I'd have to say my favourite villain is M Bison from Streetfighter. You always use to beat every character and then get to him at the end and lose. And I use to have a mad vendetta against him. But he's definitely the best character I think who's a Villain.

Which Celeb gamer would you like to battle in a game?

The Celeb I'd most like to battle in a game has to be Lewis Hamilton on Mario Kart. Let's see what his real driving skills are like, because Mario Kart is the test of every driver's real skills.

Ok that's the end of this week with me. I'll be back in a week's time to tell you more about how I get down when it comes to gaming. And hopefully some less embarrassing moments!

K.
