Digital Digest: Black Sabbath, The Rapture, Velvet Underground
Twitter was alight last night after an article on the Birmingham Mail’s site seemed to confirm the original line-up of Black Sabbath were getting back together. A lot of excitement built up across the world, only for guitarist Tony Iommi to squash the quotes he supposedly made with an official statement on his personal website denying the suggestion and apologising to fans.
Last night The Rapture held an online listening party for their new album In the Grace of Your Love on UStream. The band also fielded questions from fans on Twitter and the LP can still be listened to for a short time here.
In Paris there was a Velvet Underground love in with a host of huge names jogging down and doing a turn. Just uploaded onto Soundcloud, this is Radiohead bassist Collin Greenwood, The Hot Rats (which features two members of Supergrass and long-time Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich) and Feist performing Femme Fatale.
The video for the Kaiser Chiefs’ Man on Mars is up on Vevo, filmed when the band went to Japan.
The Drums have released UK tour dates for December – The Music Fix has them all.
