The passing of Amy Winehouse has caused widespread sadness online over the weekend. Her music touched thousands and her sad end has been met with sympathy and despair across Twitter, blogs and discussion boards. Billboard have collated a number of Tweets from her musical contemporaries, Holy Moly have her career in videos, as do Fake DIY which also gives fans a chance to leave their tribute in a comment, and MIA uploaded an unfinished demo called 27 onto Soundcloud in Amy Winehouse’s memory.

Another track from The Rapture’s upcoming fourth album called Sail Away has emerged online – have a listen at One Thirty BPM.

A ten-minute documentary detailing the rise of the Kanye West and Jay-Z partnership leading up to King of Thrones has caught the attention of a lot of blogs – check it out for yourself at Hip Hop Stan.

The Flaming Lips have collaborated with Lightening Bolt on track I Want to Get High But I Don’t Want Brain Damage – the video is up on YouTube.

Hotly tipped new female vocalist Emeli Sandé has her debut video for track Heaven up on YouTube.
