On the playlist: Ruen Brothers - Aces

Introducing online producer

It's fair to say that 2013 has flown by so far for the Ruen Brothers. The duo uploaded their tracks to BBC Introducing on Radio Humberside in January and have been causing a stir ever since. They played a packed Notting Hill Arts Club a few weeks ago with plenty of industry insiders seen among the crowd.

The track that caught the attention of our friends on the Humberside was Aces and it's on the Radio 1 playlist all this week. Listen to it below.

Hometown: You wait ages to talk about a BBC Introducing artists from Scunthorpe and then two come along in a week. Brothers Henry and Rupert follow in the footsteps of Huw Stephens' latest discovery, Adam Sennitt.

Style: Aces has a classic '60s rock 'n' roll attitude folded in with charisma and intelligence of Arctic Monkeys and Alex Turner. The moment the chorus kicks in is pretty, pretty special.

You need to know: Their session at Maida Vale was a cracker. Do not forget to check out the pictures and videos.

Supported by: Outside of the BBC Introducing family, Zane Lowe has fallen head over heels for Aces making it his Next Hype and then playing it three times in a row.

Find out more: We filmed an interview with Henry and Rupert at Maida Vale. Have a watch below and follow their progress on Twitter too.
