BBC Radio 1: Isabelle Brown - Places

Isabelle's tune 'Places' is in the Introducing hot spot on BBC Radio 1's playlist! Make sure you tune into Huw, Adele, Scott, Grimmy, Matt & Mollie, Clara and Dev & Alice to hear it being played all week.

Supported by: The queen, Melita at BBC Music Introducing in The South.

Style: Soul pop.

Essential: Isabelle is a sixteen year old soulful singer and songwriter from Brighton. This songstress takes inspiration from the likes of Nina Simone, A Tribe Called Quest and Tina Turner. 'Places' follows the release of Isabelle's debut mixtape 'Only Having A Laugh' - which was written and recorded when she was just twelve! Isabelle says the track is about "somewhere that you don't have to pretend to be someone you're not; where you are loved and accepted, and can be who you want to be." We love it so much, that we made it Introducing track of the week on 1Xtra too!
