Introducing heads to Club NME in 2016

Rachel Holmberg

Editor of BBC Music Introducing

It’s been an incredible twelve months of new music and we’re delighted to have been able to showcase so many outstanding acts here in the UK and abroad. 2015 has seen over 100 artists perform on our festival stages, a host of stunning Maida Vale sessions and also featured several pivotal international showcase sets, giving some of the brightest new UK acts the opportunity to push on and grow their profile around the world. These acts all began their Introducing journey with an upload, so if you want to get your music heard join the Uploader and start sending us your tracks.

To kick off 2016 we’ll be returning to Camden Town in London and joining up with our partners at Club NME to host a series of exciting gigs at KOKO. Over the last two years these shows have featured early sets from the likes of Catfish and the Bottlemen, Saint Raymond, Amber Run, Fickle Friends and Nothing But Thieves. There’s no doubt that if you get down to KOKO on a Friday night in January you’ll be watching bands destined for big things, here’s who’s on the line-up:

8TH JAN
YOUTH CLUB
LOUIS LA ROCHE
HUW STEPHENS DJ SET

15TH JAN
DRAPER
PHIL TAGGART DJ SET

22ND JAN
ADY SULEIMAN
ISAAC GRACIE
PHIL TAGGART DJ SET

29TH JAN
VIOLA BEACH
KLOE
MONKI DJ SET

To add to the exciting proposition above – Introducing will now be curating the line-up for Club NME at KOKO every last Friday of the month, following our January takeover. Each of these will be hosted by one of our Introducing Local Show Presenters.
