Starting on 10th December, I'll be doing my show LIVE from Afghanistan in the run up to Christmas. I love a challenge and it'll be fascinating to see how the Armed Forces go about their daily business. I'll be reporting back to you all every day from 4pm UK time. The idea is to spread a bit of Christmas goodwill and make sure we don't forget that over the festive season, a lot of people are away from their families and need a bit of a distraction. I can be that distraction! The Forces' Sweetheart!
We will once again be joining forces with BFBS (The British Forces Broadcasting Service) and I'll be live on Radio 1 AND across Afghanistan too.
I think a lot of us are guilty of being slightly ignorant to what actually goes on in 'Camp Bastion' and all these other places - my job will be to de-mystify some of these things and speak to the people that make it all happen in various parts of the country whether it be Bastion or the other military bases in Helmand Province.
I cannot WAIT!
This is how I imagine I'll be dropped off.

Producer Laura from Greg’s show is reading all of them and will pass them onto the team in Afghanistan.***
