Eastendersssssssssfan: I think Tanya was asking for a slap. For Cora, having to give her firstborn up for adoption was a trauma, not something she chose to do but something she was forced to do. In sixties, attitude to those who give birth at 17 and out of wedlock and those who give birth to a mixed race child, was very different from what it's like today. She did not have a choice, but that left her heart permanently wounded. That's why she never wanted to talk about it with anyone, because it did hurt. And now Tanya have found Ava, and of course Ava doesn't really want to know her mother. Why would Tanya do this? Ava is 48 now, she spent her whole life not knowing her real mother and sisters and she is angry with her mother for that. Of course she doesn't want to know. It's Tanya who sometimes really annoys me. She is so meddling, both towards her mother and her own children. I wouldn't even call this "protective", but meddling. And who she is to speak, she is no angel herself at all.

Cora is really starting to annoy me now. She is horrible to the daughter that she has but keeps crying over the daughter that she doesn't. Lauren and Joey should stay together!

No, there is nothing wrong with that, especially as they didn't grow up together, they just met!! And anyway, it happens in real life, it's not illegal to marry your cousin!! Finally, last but not least, they make such a beautiful couple and have a fantastic on screen chemistry that they have to be together!!
Also looking forward to seeing Bianca back!!!

This looks like a gooood week!

Tanya deserves that slap. She shouldnt meddle in something so personal to her mother. it doesnt matter Ava is her sister, her loyalty to be to her mother and she should respect her. Carol annoys me - I'd rather she stayed away. And I think Greg taught Lauren to drive. But yes, she is a bit psychotic behind the wheel. When car insurance goes up for young women in January she might have to get a bike.

Lauren really does not do anything for the stereotypical 'women driver' image. If she is not running over her dad, she is turning a shop into a drive-through. Hardly surprising however, as I do not recall Lauren ever taking driving lessons or passing a driving test.
On another note, I am SO happy to see Carol back and hope this heralds another (more permanent) return for David. I guess I will need to dig out my earplugs again in anticipation of Bianca shouting endlessly.
