EastEnders Omnibus has moved

Post categories:

Nickie | 11:24 UK time, Tuesday, 10 April 2012

The EastEnders omnibus has moved to a new late-night slot on Friday night/Saturday morning.

It will no longer be on BBC One on Sunday.

This slot is closer to the original transmissions and will be more consistent as it will not need to be moved for sporting commitments.

The next omnibus will be on Saturday 14th at 0.05-02.00am. See BBC One schedules for more details.

It is also available on BBC Three repeat, iPlayer, and on catch-up TV.

Umm, ain't that a bit too late / early!? Who'll be up to watch that!? Lucky for me, I watch it on this site.

  • Comment number 2.

    Why is this?

  • Comment number 3.

That's a bit late, I watch eastenders in the week days when its on but I used to watch the omnibus one on a sunday if i had nothing else to do

  • Comment number 4.

i have trouble staying awake until midnight ,let alone 2am.that means i will miss my favourite soap.why have you done this?

  • Comment number 5.

WHAT i have to work on fri nights and sat mornings so i wont be staying up to watch it. all i can say is goodbye eastenders for me!!! the BBC have made a HUGE mistake with this one!!!

  • Comment number 6.

Now they tell me. Too late to check if I really did see a microphone in the scene with Ian and Dot on her sofa. Bah!

  • Comment number 7.

This comment was removed because the moderators found it broke the house rules. Explain.

  • Comment number 8.

And who's bright idea was this - not. Perhaps the same can be done with Formula 1.

  • Comment number 9.

Do you mind moving it later so we can fit a film on at 11:30pm on a Friday night?

  • Comment number 10.

This is Ridiculous, I'm normally so drunk in a Night Club at this point, although a good idea would be to project Eastenders onto the wall of the night club and distribute headphones to everyone on the dance floor that would rather watch Eastenders. I can picture myself boogying to Heather Trott, although that wont be possible any more now they have killed her off :( :(. Will have to dance to Phil Mitchell instead, ah well, BRING IT ON BABY.

  • Comment number 11.

Plz leave eastenders on a sunday, as not everyone can stay up that late to catch up. Why not move the grand prix to that time . I catch up on all my soaps on a sunday while doing all my ironing. Hollyoaks, rivercity & eastender which makes sunday complete.

  • Comment number 12.

unbelievable move not happy it like no roast dinner on sundays no church or pub who going to watch midnight -2am not me i player i suppose for me bad move bbc

  • Comment number 13.

Thank god i have sky plus lol x

  • Comment number 14.

AS IF!! I cannot believe Eastenders is moving to a ridiculous time! As a student I will be out partying on a Friday night as opposed to staying in to catch up with Eastenders omnibus! Why would they want to lose viewers? Sundays are made to stay in bed and catch up with soaps! BBC are making a huge mistake! And another thing... did they really have to kill of Heather? I know shes a cheese loving, George Michael fan.. but really?! She was such a character! I hope BBC realise they are upsetting hundreds of fans and decide to keep it on a Sunday. Total heart-break!

  • Comment number 15.

Ridiculous...Just ridiculous. Are the BBC trying to lose viewers? Seriously, are they trying to tell us something? If you keep making poor decisions for Eastenders, such as this, you might as well can it. I only hope the BBC listen to viewers (who are also the licence fee payers!) and stop this nonsense. Midnight on a friday, I mean REALLY! You might as well go round to each individual fans house and actually slap them in the face with a wet fish. Because that is what this feels like.

  • Comment number 16.

I dont know what your all moaning about you can either set your sky+ or your tivo box to record it or just watch it on bbc iplayer simple as. If you havent got internet why you replying on here or you need to stop being a cheap human and get broadband and stop moaning

  • Comment number 17.

You also say its bad as we have to pay TVL what about the people who dont like eastenders, even though eastenders is on at 7.30/10pm And on bbc iplayer you guys are really that annoyed because there moving the sunday show how many times do you want it showing????

  • Comment number 18.

This is silly, i live in France and the only chance i have to watch this programme is on Sundays and it is my favourite, if you completely change it to this time then i will never be able to watch it because not even BBCiPlayer doesn't work abroad and i personnally think that you will lose people watching the series! I would think about changing it back!!:/

  • Comment number 19.

Send me your TVL fee/tax and i will personally record it for you.

  • Comment number 20.

I'm not sure what all the fuss is about here. It's shown once at the regular time, then on BBC3 at 10pm, alot of people now have sky+,/ some other recording device or BBC I player, and if you really don't have the last two, can't you use an old fashioned video recorder ? It's really not that much of an issue. It's about time they used that slot to put on a nice family film rather than another repeat. Well done BBC.

  • Comment number 21.

thank god for iplayer, all i can say is that your ratings will drop for people who don't have iplayer, silly move bbc, silly move!

  • Comment number 22.

I think this is a rediculous decision...especially for me, living in Holland with the timedifference, now it's absolutely impossible for me to watch the omnibus. Sundayafternoon was always a good moment to watch episodes I missed during the week..I realy hope you will change this all to what it was...PLEASE!!!

  • Comment number 23.

@chaz I agree , thank god for Iplayer.
But who is going to watch this when maybe half the viewers or more or less may be sleeping. But all I'm saying is I will not be Wstaying up that late or wakeing up that early . Who will be watching this at this time???

  • Comment number 24.

I am just wondering what is going on in the minds of the BBC. Eastenders Omnibus has been on a Sunday for years and I find this very strange moving it to Friday night/ Saturday morning. I really do believe that a lot less people will be watching BBC1 on a Sunday which is a shame really. I have always looked forward to watching Eastenders on a Sunday and like someone said earlier my Sunday will not be complete.

    Bad idea BBC. :(

  • Comment number 25.

A big mistake, BBC will loose market share for sure to Corrie. I guess Sunday afternoon will be flooded with afternoon sport.. Such a bad move BBC.

  • Comment number 26.

Soaps are rubbish and repeats of them are even worse. Omnibus is redundant now any-ways when you either have a recording device, BBC3 repeat or iPlayer. Could of been worse they could of done this:
    11:30pm: FILM
    1:20am BBC News
    3:20am: Eastenders Omnibus
    or this:
    11pm: The Review Show
    11:50pm: FILM
    1:30am: BBC News
    3am: Eastenders Omnibus

  • Comment number 27.

That's a shame, it's nice to catch up on a Sunday afternoon.

  • Comment number 28.

This isn't fair on people who work evening and night shifts and only get the chance to watch on a Sunday

  • Comment number 29.

much to late for me-enjoyed watching sunday afternoon-i prefere to watch eastenders in full rather than watching one eposide at a time

  • Comment number 30.

And is this temporary or permanant? (+_+)

    clown face

  • Comment number 31.

Ohhh, I am not happy at all. With the time differents in Holland it is an other hour later. Please come back on Sunday...please, please, please...

  • Comment number 32.

Why so late? Who's going to be able to watch it at this time? I can barely stay up until 10.00pm :( I think slot of people will be unhappy about this

  • Comment number 33.

@usernamefood, if you don't like Eastenders, what are you doing on this page and why are you commenting? Duh!

  • Comment number 34.

lol your all mad lol ur all on the pc now writing this, you can watch it on iplayer anytime on your pc so why are you all writing it too late, i work that day lol you can watch it anytime on this very site now lol my my

  • Comment number 35.

Why are they moving the omnibus to a late night/dead of the night slot? there's not much point in moving it from the weekend slot as that's the only time people will get to see it to catch up. It will be a bit ridiculous to show the omnibus edition five hours after the Friday episode.

  • Comment number 36.

bit late aint it it somethink i can watch while im waiting for my late tv to start

  • Comment number 37.

i agree with @chaz with the ting about @usernamefood you must be a sad low life with nothink better to do i get if you dont like it fair play it not for everyone but to take te time to create account just to complain and post things get a life

  • Comment number 38.

Well... I can understand why people are peeved and I have access to the inet, sky + etc. because it's been on on a Sunday afternoon for so long. I understand updates to schedules and it used to really annoy me when it was cancelled/changed for sporting events so changing it for good is probably better, but that late? Believe it or not not everyone has decent broadband that can stream it, and some people don't have the internet at all (shock horror!). Some people probably only have freeview too!

BBC, why not just put it on BBC3 on a Sunday afternoon at the same time? With the digital switch over everyone should have access to that channel, and then you just have to remember what side it's on, still enjoy your hangover/sunday roast.after church TV and not have this seemingly random time change!

  • Comment number 39.

    Big MISTAKE BBC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Comment number 40.

I know George is no longer with Shirley but if he comes back they should change the roller blind or cut the blind cord as these are dangerous for children.

  • Comment number 41.

RE: Blind Cords. SRSLY? Oh geeezzzz. *facepalm*

RE: Time change. Bad move. Makes it harder for people to watch it especially us that don't have recording ability. Yeah we still exist because some providers can't get to where we are (live on a heritage site) and can't really afford these boxes.
Yes there is iPlayer. but until they ditch Flash and allow us to watch it in Full HD it's not enough.

  • Comment number 42.

Thanks everyone for your feedback. To give you a bit more info - this slot was chosen as it is closer to the original transmissions and will be more consistent as it will not need to be moved for sporting commitments.

Aside from the omnibus, viewers can now catch up on EastEnders through a variety of means such as the PVR, BBC3 repeat or on iPlayer.

  • Comment number 43.

Sorry but your reply is just an automated response out of the press release...
How can we watch the repeat abroad with no access on the iPlayer? The omnibus on Sunday makes sense for us living abroad, while in the middle of the night (with one hour ahead in continental Europe too! ) on Fridays/Saturdays is just there to say: hey guys, we haven't cancelled it, it's there. But really, who will watch it at that time???
If it's moved for sporting committments, tough, but let's just say it's a preventive measure taken to cover for the Olympics schedule, isn't it?
If the BBC really wants international viewers then open up iPlayer too to keep us happy with shows playing too late... Shame...

  • Comment number 44.

BIG MISTAKE BBC . A tradition that has ran for years and one of the most watched shows on the BBC why has sport always got to be number one priority there is plenty of people out there who don't watch sport. My nan always misses Fridays episode so looks forward to watching it on Sunday so what is she suppose to do now she don't have sky plus or have the net ??? some things are suppose to change and some are not and this is defiantly one that shouldn't.BBC SORT THIS OUT FAST

  • Comment number 45.

sorry but no-one will want acctually to get up that early. It's a bad move.

  • Comment number 46.

No one will be awake that late to watch it. this is a really bad move on their part i think they'll lose a lot of viewers. i don't watch on weekdays because im at work so i always catch up on a Sunday and im not staying up that late to watch. so i guess ill just stop watching it. really disappointed in the BBC this has been a tradition for years and a lot of people don't like change, you've really gone and ballsed it up for yourselves

  • Comment number 47.

This is really mean of you. Sunday is the only time I get to watch Eastenders and no, I don't want to watch it online! Please move it back to its original time!

  • Comment number 48.

BBC TV should be in the UK only, Anyone watching it on BBC One aboard shouldn't be

  • Comment number 49.

I think it is a shame too, but i will have to tape it then :( maybe BBC will change its mind and put it at an earlier time at least.... I think it will cost them a lot of viewers!

Does anyone know if it is still possible to visit the set of Eastenders? If it is I intend to go there once... If anyone knows, can you let me know please? Thanks in advance.

  • Comment number 50.

look everyone is obviously angry about this so complain, and dont waste your time posting annoying comments(but true!) and do something about it find a phone number on the website and do something like phone and talk to someone who will listen and deal with it!xxxxxxxxx

  • Comment number 51.

Not good enough Nickie, not good enough, i personally don't watch the omnibuses anymore but what about for the people who do? everyone must be thinking "saddo" seeing as this is my third post!

  • Comment number 52.

thats stupid dont you think .... people well be in there beds or at work . say you didnt have internet how would you watch if you fell asleep

  • Comment number 53.

nevermind Ill have to record it but i like to watch eastenders on time :->

  • Comment number 54.

What is with the outfit that Shirley is/was wearing. Its horrible. lol. Sometimes I just think that the storylines are a bit far fetched.

  • Comment number 55.

  • Comment number 56.

    Honsetly your all just moaning at a problem thats not even there! You do know that you can still watch it on sunday at the same time... dont you? Its a little place called bbc iplayer! It did get me questioning it for a while then i got real and thought about it. You have plenty or chances and different ways to catch up with it. Here are SOME of the ways that you can do so;
    1) Watch it the night its aired
    2) If you miss it that night watch it on bbc iplayer (as u clearly have the internet to do so)
    3) Watch it on the omnibus, on friday nights
    4) Watch it on iplayer on sunday at the same time you would normally watch the omnibus--- whats the difference, you can even pause it for toilet breaks, and make yourself a cuppa if you want !
So why dont you all just grow up and be releasitc, i cant believe how much your saying its inconvieent because you cant watch any other time other than sundays, well you still can just on a computer/ laptop/ phone/ ipad ecttt i dont see what all the fuss is about.

  • Comment number 57.

Cannot believe this!!! I am unable to watch Eastenders during the week and do not have a recorder of any kind to be able to record any episodes-Sunday has always been my day to watch my beloved Eastenders.
I have always voted Eastenders as the best TV programme but from now am not sure that I will as I will probably not be able to see it.
This decision should have been put to the viewers first-as it is the viewers that make or brake a programme-absolutely appauled at this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Comment number 58.

In response to eastendersfanultimate if you were such a fan as you say you are you WOULD understand why us TRUE Eastenders fans don't like the move of the omnibus. Its been a tradition on the BBC for the past 27years.we are not saying we cant watch any other time or record it its the principle of the matter why shouldn't the true fans be able to sit down and watch on a Sunday afternoon like always instead of having to worry about making sure its recorded. And not everybody can catch up on computer or sky plus my nan always watches the Sundays omnibus as she don't have access to the net or sky plus.sorry eastendersfanultimate but your points are just not good enough 1- a lot of people cant watch it the night its aired that's why they watch the omnibus edition 2- not everyone wants to sit at there computer to watch on i player and don't have the connection to hook up to there TV 3- the omnibus on Friday nights is to late 4- you don't just need to watch on computer to pause for toilet breaks many people could do that before with sky-plus . you obviously are not a fan as much as you say in your username or you would understand why people are outraged. we don't need to grow up thank you as we already are . I agree with you Mummajo I also don't no why they could of not moved the omnibus edition to BBC3 at 7.00 on Sunday nights that would be better than early hours of the morning

  • Comment number 59.

The reason many people liked the timing was precisely because it was not close to the original broadcast time. My Grandmother, for instance would watch the omnibus while going to bed too early to see the week day episodes. She doesn't have access to iPlayer etc.

  • Comment number 60.

i can tell you now why they have done it and in a way we should of seen it comming seen as it goes on anyway on some sundays as it is but they have moved it to friday nights because of the sporting commitments like formula 1 football and any other sport they show you see they will move the soaps whenever however wherever they like but lo and behold if the sport got moved from there time slots but it is all right for them to do it to the soaps. i think it is so wrong if they can move the soaps around then it is good enough for the sport as well what makes the sport so special

  • Comment number 61.

I think this is a bad move. My elderly Mother only have the TV, no catch up or method to record. It is too late for her. It is too late for me too. I would have thought like other soaps there would be more repeats rather than changing from the one good time to a silly time. The repeat on BBC3 at 10:00 the same night is not a good time. If I am out and miss one it is likely I will not be back for 10:00. Not only should Sunday stay but more repeats would be better

  • Comment number 62.

Very bad idea - the BBC are loosing the plot!
I always catch up on a Sunday afternoon - now I will watch something else.
    Au revoir Eastenders!!!

  • Comment number 63.

    Hi, I am from Holland.
I always looked Eastenders on Sundays here.
Luckely I have seen on this site that Eastenders is now only be seeing here at midnight. I am a great fan of Eastenders. I don't like to stay awake at night. with so many others with me. Why did you do this? I have missed a lot of Eastenders now.
    Greetings from Holland.

  • Comment number 64.

I think that the BBC should appreciate that Sunday Eastenders helps bring families together in a way that iplayer simply doesn't. In a year when we were promised that there would be some refuge for people to escape from the Olympics, it seems a tad silly that the most popular programme on the BBC is being re-scheduled to make room for more sport.

  • Comment number 65.

Hi, another post from The Netherlands. For years i've been watching Eastenders Omnibus on a sunday afternoon. The new timescedule is not convenient at all with a bunch of little children who need their mum to rise and shine early saturday morning. Can you at least help me to watch the episodes through internet? The BBC Iplayer doesnot work overhere....... I would be very greatfull if you could!

  • Comment number 66.

I am SO CROSS about this!!! Yes of course some people can watch it on their computers but I go and visit a friend (with no computer) and we watch together on Sundays and make it a social occasion. We have been doing this for many years. And I am quite sure there are families who also watch it as a family (ie during daytime hours). BBC PLEASE RE-THINK THIS!!!

  • Comment number 67.

yes but it does not matter how much protesting or how many comments we type on this website the bbc has made there mind up and from what i can gather they made there minds up a long time ago because once a tv channel decides on something it is there then to stay weather we the viewers like it or not they say they like to give the viewers what they want but that simply is not true because if it was true they would put the omnibus episode back to its original sunday slot the time its self would not matter so long as it was on sundays but yet again we have this situation where the tv channel is right and even when there wrong like they are in this case they still think that they are right i only ask when will tv channel bosses attitudes change towards the slots of programmes and the feelings of the viewers

  • Comment number 68.

^but if nobody watches it surely they can't keep it on? it would get axed! isnt it about gaining more viewers not loosing them?

im a little annoyed about this too as i always sky+ the omnibus and i hate routine changes lol i dont mind really cos my sleeping pattern is messed up anyway but sunday just seems traditional and it shouldnt be moved cos of the principal of it

  • Comment number 69.

So very angry at this decision.

I work nights Mon-Fri so cannot watch EE during the week. Sunday afternoons have always been perfect for me to catch up as the hubby goes out and I can watch quite happily whilst the beef is roasting away.

I do not have a recordable box or sky+ as we can't afford them. With hungry mouths to feed etc, they are luxuries we just can't afford. We don't even have a video recorder now as it was almost older than the universe.

I have sat and watched this weeks EE on i-player and the quality was rubbish. Firstly it's displayed on a 14" monitor rather than my 34" TV, the picture is all "stop/starty" and the dialogue does not match the image on the screen. My dear old PC also wants to snooze every 30 mins if I forget to move the mouse.

I am not able to feed the PC to the TV as there are 2 floors between them. I'm old fashioned and think PC's are very solitary so won't have it in the front room as that is where we do family things.

Also don't think this change has been advertised very well. I knew that it had been moved from last Sunday but presumed that was to do with it being Easter. None of the TV mags have highlighted the change either.

I thought if instituates (such as government and public bodies) intended to make permanent changes, they were supposed to have a public consultation period. I pay my licence despite the fact that I watch very few BBC programmes. Now apparently, I'll be watching even less.

  • Comment number 70.

i watch eastenders on a weekday regualy bit if i miss it will be a big struggle to watch it at the time. i have internet acsess but i dont like to watch things which use a lot of mega bites so i tent to try not to watch it on the internet otherwise if we use too much it will charge us over costs.
wish they would put it back to sondays it is up setting a lot of people

  • Comment number 71.

Midnight!? Well i suppose it doesn't really matter anymore, as we all have BBC iPlayer. But what I would like to ask is that older episodes are out back onto BBCiPlayer, or another site, as some of them are my absolute favourites! :D

  • Comment number 72.

why is this?? i agree with monalisa its always been sunday tradition and will miss sunday afternoons watching it with my family grr very unhappy

  • Comment number 73.

usernamefood naw coz it keeps on movin days times it should b on sunday at 10 at nyt

  • Comment number 74.

Once again you are taking action that does not suit European viewers. An omnibus viewing in the middle of the night is not likely to attract a large audience, so please do not pretend it is an improvement in consistency. If your policy is to select viewing hours that are more compatible for other regions of the world, so be it. You should state this clearly : a fair deal for everyone whatever the time zone may be.

  • Comment number 75.

James Lattimore says we all have iPlayers. We do not. I don't know where he lives but iPlayer is not available in my country of residence, Switzerland.

  • Comment number 76.

Why change the EE Ominbus to Friday nights after all those years? Just don't get it...EE is going to lose viewers and not everyone has access to Iplayer or catch-up tv. Change it back to Sunday afternoons please! Sooner rather than later!

  • Comment number 77.

"Aside from the omnibus, viewers can now catch up on EastEnders through a variety of means such as the PVR, BBC3 repeat or on iPlayer."
Not available in The Netherlands..... I'm not happy........

  • Comment number 78.

not sure if i can advertise it on here but anyone who is desperate to catch up you could try torrent websites bit tricky but useful when you get the hang of it!

  • Comment number 79.

    Holland here,
As a regular viewer I must say I'm not happy with this change. Not living in the UK means we don't have BBC I-player. Well, we can use it but at a ridiculous price per 6 months so that's not an option. Luckily I have a hard disk recorder so I can tape it but when I read all the reactions above it might be time to reconsider the decision of changing the EE-slot. And while you're at it: do lobby for free I-player for us Dutch so that our English remains up to scratch when you lot come to visit! Look upon it as an investment.....;-)

  • Comment number 80.

Eastenders Omnibus on a Sunday was the hilight of the week. Not all of us have facilities such as playback & it's not the same sitting in a little office in front of a computer. It was a good chill out with a cuppa. So late on a Friday night is total rubbish, whoever had that ridiculous idea?! The ratings will go down down down & I'm so sorry.

  • Comment number 81.

I think this is utterly stupid. I'm a pupil still. How am I suppose to stay up this late after a long day at school. Is the BBC slowly reducing viewings for Eastenders so they can get rid of it completely or somethig. Cos soon I have beenn watching Eastenders for ten years. And I love it too much to lose it. Please reconsider BBC, maybe change it to early saturday/sunday morning like 7:00am/8:00am. PLEASE!! My family heart it so much!!!

  • Comment number 82.

^can you not watch it when it first aires?

i keep forgetting about the change and not sky+'ing it. change confuses me:(

  • Comment number 83.

I think the BBC really has this wrong, not everyone is up at that time of a morning/evening well if they want to lose viewers its up to them but I tell you now you will have one less and I'm sure I will not be the only one, its a shame as I have watch from the start but due to work Sundays are the only time I get to see it now a days,SO I MAY AS WELL STOP WATCHING FROM NOW ON

  • Comment number 84.

Who was the bright spark that had that idea?
Seriously, half the population are sleeping at this time? Bin all the other garbage that is on on a sunday like Rivercity?? ITV is the opposite with the soaps being Repeated ten fold!
Even BBC2 or 3 at a more civilised hour??

  • Comment number 85.

This is ridiculous who on earth is going to be awake to watch then? I don't have sky plus and work so will now no longer be able to watch. I think this is really unfair and not well thought out at all. why can't it be on BBC 2 or 3 as the previous comment ITV replay sopas so many times so I don't see why you can't play at a reasonable hour!

  • Comment number 86.

Unbelieveable! I've been watching the omnibus on sundays for óver...well I don't know how many years. But Sharon and the Mitchellbrothers and Ethel were still in it!
It's almost a ritual, I make tea and relax on the sofa while watching. Sure, it can change time....but after midnight?!?!?!?! Flog it! is still on! Explain that!

Anyways, no matter I suppose, what wé think.
I won't be watching at night.
I won't be watching at all. Stupid is what this is......

    bye bye from Holland!

  • Comment number 87.

This comment was removed because the moderators found it broke the house rules. Explain.

  • Comment number 88.

aaargh! not actually allowed to express yourself on here either, am very very v ery annoyed at this move, sundays are ruined, I ocassionally wastch the odd episode on iplayer, but only have a dongle and have limited mb each month, it was tradition to watch omnibus in bed hungover or whilst cooking roast on sunday. can't afford a + box and not much point as live in a caravan and can't always have power running at times that things would need to be recorded as gennies are either too noisy at 1am or would cain leisure battery too much to have inverter runnig once to record it and then again too watch it. but no-one on site minds gennie running on a sunday afternoon as we all want to watch it at this time.

this ia a very very bad move bbc

  • Comment number 89.

Due to work arrangement I cant watch Eastenders in a week so was always looking forward to catch up on Sunday! I am so angry why do we have Formula 1 on and all other sports most of the day???
Eastenders made the day for many of us! Who will watch on Saturday night?!!!Its far too late!
This is SO wrong ! Just pls put Estenders back as it was or at least on BBC2 but make the time for it on Sunday.

  • Comment number 90.

Please can we have Eastenders back on Sunday afternoons as we all watched the 2 hours or so in one go after sunday lunch - sure if a BIG sporting event comes along then move it but to one of the other channels at the usual time - but NOBODY is going to watch it at new time - as licence payers can we vote it back ? Sundays will never be the same!!! Who's ridiculous idea was this!! I don't get to see Eastenders during the week, on a Sunday look forward to, after all chores and preparing Sunday lunch, to sit down and watch the omnibus, my time for 2 hrs to put my feet up and watch my favourite soap!! Yes can be taped, yes can be watched on iPlayer , but not same!! Been on Sun afternoons for 27 yrs, what are you thinking!!! Why not put on BBC3 on a Sunday afternoon? Midnight on a Fri! Somebody has lost the plot!!!

I have watched Eastenders since 1998, but this time at night is ludicrous... Why show old movies on Sunday afternoon instd of the omnibus ? You might as well kill a soap that's won lots of awards for BBC... For me, Eastenders is over and gone, not in the back of a black taxi like so many of its characters, but brutally killed by BBC...

whats the problem ?? eastenders is on 4 times a week, and THEN repeated in the evening. if you miss it you can sign onto iplayer, as as for it not showing on a sunday, either connect your laptop to the tv OR if you have a PS3 you can watch it on there - on a sunday ! problem solved. theres better things to worry about in life. eastenders isn't going anywhere, if your so much of a fan, then can you make the time to watch or catch up !
