    He's got bad Teeth.

  • Comment number 2.

That'll be the day. An interesting tune to listen to.

So The vampires have on the ships taking them the crew and of course they have - food.

    Cutler the magician misdirection.
He's going to make the wolves the enemy so that the vampires will be ignored - What a git.

Annie with another Ghost will this be for long or will there be a door for Pearl?

Looks to be fun. Now Is Eve coming back to kill Eve or is there another baby.

We've heard about the first vampires what about the first werewolves?

    A lot to think about.

So bullets laced with werewolf blood anyone.

  • Comment number 3.

    Mark Gatiss?

  • Comment number 4.

    Yep that's who.

  • Comment number 5.

    Munch munch!

  • Comment number 6.

1 - yeah Ewan - the teeth - not so good!

  • Comment number 7.

interesting clip as Mark Gatiss's skin looks like he has been staked?

  • Comment number 8.

    Mark Gatiss legend.

    RIP George Sands

  • Comment number 9.

impossible to open the prequel, same with George farewell, naughty internet
any how ready for next week, now sleepy time for me and plenty of werewolf blood, but please do not tell me this is it ... the great way out.

Somehow, well, let's wait for next week and see where TW is leading us

  • Comment number 10.

I got lost between so many fab blogs then!

Ryan sent a pic of the Bone Room:

    https://t.co/Z96dCS7Y

    Thanks Ryan!

  • Comment number 11.

How long have the Old Ones been travelling to look like that??
How come there is still a priest onboard?? would of thought he'd have been goned pretty quick?
Mark Gatiss on BH well fancy that wonder who else we'll get?
    Loving Tom action wolf lol
Hal ....... Early days and I'm still raw in the whole Vampire replacement thingy we shall see :-/
    Cutler looks interesting
Griffin - Herricks lines delivered by a different face but didn't last long
Fridge of bottled blood thought that didn't work for our vampires??
Off to ponder for a bit

  • Comment number 12.

Do you think this old one is effectively Dracula... The boat set up is very much like the book Dracula.

  • Comment number 13.

Mycroft is a Vampire? Whatever will Sherlock say? Oops, sorry wrong show.

I'm lost in a Being Human Blog twighlight zone!

What a first episode! I don't care what anyone else says, i thought it was mind blowing.

Poor George, you'll be missed but at least you'll get your Nina back.

  • Comment number 14.

watched this on the red button....really like that extra facility!

Well...I for one enjoyed episode one. I did enjoy all the different scenes...in the future, in the present, with Hal, Pearl and Leo etc. During the series all these strands will be brought together.
Wasn't surprised that we lost George....so sad to see his death though. And Nina was beaten to death...*major sobs*
Think that Eve will prove to be the star of the show
Loved the scenes with Hal. Pearl and Leo...well acted all three.

For me...the star was Andrew Glover ( Cutler)...he was the most new 'interesting' character and certainly had the funniest lines.

not sure what 'Eve's' change into a ghost meant ( actually..was it Eve?) ..or her statement regarding needing to kill the baby but no doubt the blog will be full of this all week!

  • Comment number 15.

    All aboard the vampire boat.

  • Comment number 16.

Had a thought we saw How Cara's Teeth had deteriorated slightly after she was brought back. Then we saw how Herrick wasn't firing on all cylinders after he returned.

Does being brought back when not staked or blooded mean that's what's happened here the blood now fed on seems to destroy them from within?

  • Comment number 17.

Mark Gatiss is the leader of The Old Ones so .....ohhhh he's on his way to Barry!

  • Comment number 18.

I wouldn't expect to see Eve meeting the remaining house mates till episode eight

    "The War Child"

  • Comment number 19.

Bit unnerved its very quiet on here are we all off pondering ??

  • Comment number 20.

Wonderful cameo by Godtiss, can't wait to see him in the show!

And got upset watching this on the red button after the episode, must have still been overly emotional from BH-proper but got all stomach-twisty and sniffly for that poor lad on the freighter. Loved it though!

  • Comment number 21.

11- Disagree about griffin. Herrick had funny lines, Griffin didn't.

For an hour of telly that needed to a) explain the absence of a main character b) kill off a character c) introduce new characters, i thought it was handled VERY well.

Wasn't expecting the whole future thing but somebody on the blog predicted that earlier today. I think we now know who our "spectre" is.

    I hope Pearl stays - she's gorgeous! :-)

  • Comment number 22.

    18. Future Eve? dont appreciate Time travel to the future ...

Regus was stalling well.. did the vamp cop who Stole eve get staked/beheaded
    - i Hope so!!

    rewatch in 7 mins

  • Comment number 23.

I think we are Nevaaprincess! I'm flitting back & forth reading comments on here, Twitter & Facebook... Not sure what to make of episode one of this series. I liked the link between Hal's prequel & the scenes of Hal & Leo tonight. But not so sure about some of the other bits of the episode, it didn't feel "very BH" tonight, but I'm sure it will as the series progresses!

  • Comment number 24.

Lycan!! Hello matey :) Sad to see Nina & George go? Tom was good tonight though, wasn't he? I thought it was funny he kept hinting about all the empty rooms at Honolulu Heights lol

  • Comment number 25.

I did enjoy the episode, sad to see george go, but my only concern is I live in Barry, and know the street where they all live.. so I am staying each Sunday to be safe.
PS some may be of interest : I wrote this song (I play all the instruments, wrote lyrics, another sings and plays bass - listen 6 minutes pre the show - https://www.riffworld.com/Members/brillstereodeck/angelsdemonsandsouls

  • Comment number 26.

OOh he looked....well scary i suppose is the correct term. Yikes.

  • Comment number 27.

Wow no idea where to start with this episode, So sad to see George & Nina go and what an emotional and brilliant exit for Russell. Eve is so adorable and it looks like there are big things in the future for her. The new characters were introduced amazingly, I love the fact there was another Vampire, Warewolf and Ghost living together that reminded me of the first couple of series.

Oh and the prequel for the old ones is very interesting cant wait to see Mark Gatiss in action. :)

  • Comment number 28.

If those Old Ones could see their reflection, they'd be lining up to stake themselves. Gatiss's character needs TicTacs, botox and a dentist...immediately.

This clip is very Stoker-esque. I'm really looking forward to watching the blood hit the fan when they finally arrive in Barry.

  • Comment number 29.

It really has gone downhill, even the Buddt Holly song was soooo not subtle. Come on this programme used to be clever!

  • Comment number 30.

And MArk Gatiss will be loving it, being the huge horror fan that he is, anyway...

  • Comment number 31.

In the credits the woman (as she is identified) is played by

    Gina Bramhill

    interesting

  • Comment number 32.

23 Ginger Red. I completely agree with you both. It's definitely a departure, but episode one has not won me back. This could be where it takes a nose dive or just seems ok good here and there but doesn't hit the heights of before. Who knows.

  • Comment number 33.

We have an ending a bit type Terminatorish. Instead of trying to save the child, the twist is going to kill the child. OK, I accept that.
I also accept that once a ghost... and motivated you can travel through your corridors back in time... Probably using the doors of the rooms your forbears went through, different as people are different! Aghost as time traveller, yeah, feasible.
Someone or everyone. Found it strange the captain, has a crucifix in his map room and about all the crew.. and making sense being an old one makes your teeth rot at one point.

Vampires: two brothers. Two friends or two vampire bloodlines sworn ennemies? What about the doggies and the ghosts? Why the vampire chronicler who is a vamp is supportive of the eradication of his specie.

    Questions which will need answers

  • Comment number 34.

Just saw something funny: The actress who plays the 2037 woman (possibly future Eve) is called Gina XD

  • Comment number 35.

34 Perhaps they couldn't find any actresses called Neorge;)

  • Comment number 36.

31, 34 - sorry ewan, didn't see you had already posted that

  • Comment number 37.

God, I'm so exhausted! What a night. Lots and lots happening this week so make sure you stick around - lots of your questions will be answered.

And... thanks for making me feel welcome. x

  • Comment number 38.

    35. Lol @ Inch_high! Loved that comment.

Think i'll go and watch episode 1 all over again.

  • Comment number 39.

    37. Time for a deep breath Rebecca, you're doing a great job!

Thanks for hanging around with us lot, i'm sure it must get tiring.

So much to fit into one episode with a lot of explaining to do but i'm sure all will become clear in the coming weeks.

Well done all the tweeters for BH trending. Do you think the bosses at the Beeb pay attention to these kinda things? Hopefully if BH continues to trend then we'll get a fifth series. Lets just hope the powers that be are listening and paying attention!

  • Comment number 40.

Haha, Inch, you are not wrong.

Blackdog, I've just been watching Russell's farewell blog & he says about all the "domestic situations, tea making, chatting, bickering" etc that went on between the characters. That was part of what I missed tonight. I hope there's plenty of this during the series & it doesn't all go a bit "Buffy"! However, I guess it was not going to be that kind of episode with G dying... I just hope BH continues to be about friendship as much as it is about the character's "conditions" & the problems they bring.

  • Comment number 41.

Night all! Have a well deserved rest, Rebecca and give yourself a pat on the back.

    38 Enjoy the rewatch BBD!

  • Comment number 42.

Night Inch. I'll be off shortly too.

  • Comment number 43.

I'm going to see if this works it's the BBC link so shouldn't be modded

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=exnQSEBzFoE&feature=related

  • Comment number 44.

Thanks Rebecca your doing a great job x
I think I'm just in shock with the whole thing
Its just so different where was tea & banter & calm before the storm?
Hal, Leo & Pearl was like peaking into the pink house again but seeing different faces
The vampires we saw tonight wouldn't have lasted 5 minutes with any of our old vampires even Seth bless him can't wait to see how the 'Old Ones' shake it up
    Tom was briliant (action wolf)
Fluffy (Sorry Splodge I mean Eve) was owning every scene
    Regus fitted in perfectly
The future stuff threw me a bit we're all still dealing with the loss of our friends and we have to think that far into the future? Is it going to be a case of they're gone now we can't think about them anymore move on? Hope not we loved them a little reference would be appreciated in the future.
Annie I think was representing us in a way trying to hold together what we have left whilst being thrown into this crazy new world, I hope she gets to fully embrace all her powers this series its been promised for a long time and I think it should be her time.
So many new things for an old bird like me to deal with but I'm sure all will become clear in the next few weeks it usually does
    In Lord Toby We Trust
    Night all sleep tight

  • Comment number 45.

been rewatching, i swear thats Hal's voice on the radio saying that New York has fallen

  • Comment number 46.

    45. Good shout Shoe.

I had the same thought myself, so the new vamp on the block might be worth the watching? He has said in interviews that he's an Old One.

Gonna go and watch the future part again and listen closely!

  • Comment number 47.

That I missed it the first time round is so embarrassing that I will now head butt a wall.

The Vampires base of operations is

    Stoker Imports and Exports

    as in Bram.

  • Comment number 48.

Also looking at the third piece of skin parchment there is something I'll have to check but it looks like a second baby symbol.

  • Comment number 49.

48 - just checked, there is another God head/Saviour symbol, and another Human Baby symbol, and one more, unidentified, but it is on the wall behind 'the woman' when she is reading the parchment

  • Comment number 50.

also, just noticed that leo's scratches are missing in the prequel, oops :P

  • Comment number 51.

Interesting if somewhat depressing episode! I thought Toby's comment in the online interesting though, suggesting that he might be back at some point.

Anyway, I'm not over keen on the whole future stuff. It was genuinely interesting... but I've see that done so often before. On the other hand there was a bit of clever misdirection there. I of course assumed that woman was Eve... but maybe it wasn't...

Werewolf blood being toxic to vampires. That's quite a new one, although it might explain why they hate them so much, particularly as it brings about the kind of death they cannot return from. (That's assuming they NEED another reason to hate werewolves.)

I was a bit confused as to whether the chatterbox guy who betrayed George and, erm, whatisface to the vampires was actually a vampire himself or just a human familiar. He can see the ghost so he must be the former, but the way he kept referring to 'the vampires' suggested they were separate. I imagine it was simply because he was a pawn of the others, but it came across a bit strange to me.

It was great to see Mark Williams in a role, and an interesting one at that. It's great to see there are other 3 dimensional vampires apart from the main characters.

  • Comment number 52.

49 - actually, its not the symbol for human baby, part of it is but part of it is different, so is it the 'human' or the 'baby' bit that is kept

  • Comment number 53.

could be the death symbol: human death, death human, death baby, baby death... bingo

im spending way too much time looking at this, should get some sleep

  • Comment number 54.

There was so much going on that I'm going to have to watch it a few times to make any sense of it all, with and without subtitles! Top script and definitely a departure from the pink house days - did I see Trueblood they were drinking? Shock, horror!

  • Comment number 55.

Good morning Blog, Good mornning Rebecca.

We've got a lot to discuss after last nights brilliant first episode. Well, brilliant in my opinion, i don't listen much to the naysayers.

After having watched it 3 or 5 times now, i've lost count and sleep. I'm pretty positive the voice of the vampire who sacked New York is Hal!

If I'm right, what happens to make him turn? Or does he have an agenda from the begining?

After all, Tom does catch him looking in the cot on baby Eve.

  • Comment number 56.

    And lets not forget, 'Twattage'!!!!

    That is all.

  • Comment number 57.

Morning All! Morning Mods! Morning Rebecca!

Going to have another re-watch this morning - so much to take in, I might do it bit-by-bit. Yes BadDog - I thought the voiceover was Hal.

Morning Gingernut - I thought the first Ep was more like a season finale, but now I expect things will settle down again. I loved the fact that there is another house with a vampire, a ghost and a werewolf who are pretending to be human. It's the first time we've seen Pearl too, I wanted to know more about them.

    Coffee and press play...

  • Comment number 58.

55- If it was Hal's voice then I think it was an alternate reality where Tom and Annie never met Hal and kept him good. This could also be a reality where the Old ones won the battle and humanity was destroyed.

Last Nights episode was brilliant but the thing that made me sad the most was that George was such a funny and human character for the first 2 series and to see him so depressed and obsessed was heart-breaking.

Sacrificing himself to save his daughter = George Sands most human moment

  • Comment number 59.

    @morning morning all

ahh, happy monday mornings when all the BH bloggers meet and discuss

I love dthe Southend happy- not so marry barber shop. it was an older wiser pink house where this time the father figure was the werewolf and the youth in need of guidance was the old vampire. Matching in fact the Hal prequel, where it was young Leo who showed to Hal that age has nothing to do with wisdom.

If it had not been sprinkled by Supernatural elements: Hal not showing in teh mirror and Leo transforming: we would have been thinking this was the normal 'passing' of a father or grandfather surrounded by his children?grand children. The daughter/wife figure trying gamely to deny Death and the son knowing the time had come and feeling already on his shoulder the burden of responsability. And seeing it coming to lose soon, his 'mother' Pearl...

  • Comment number 60.

Has anybody noticed that in the future there seems to be no mention of werewolves while 'humans' are not at all surprised to see and speak to 'ghosts' unless all humanity has been wiped out and the future is limited to werewolves and vampires. after all, the man who kills the woman from the future is talking and seeing a ghost. Hence 'supernatural'?

  • Comment number 61.

The man who killed her was a werewolf, it was mentioned and he had sctraches on the side of his face

  • Comment number 62.

Morning all! How are you all feeling today....?
    Recovered? I'm not quite yet....
The tweets were overwhelmingly positive which is fantastic. I agree it felt like a season finale, fast paced, action-packed & shocking.
So, did all our clues come together? Any Ideas?

  • Comment number 63.

    Morning all! Morning Rebecca!

Yesterday was a lot of fun!

Enjoyed it a lot and fascinated by so many strands setting up for the series, lots of ideas - have to admit that I'm still processing! So much to get my head round...

Will be watching it again (maybe twice!) tonight and trying to decipher my notes so I can write a considered review for my blog - they are slightly less comprehensible than the vampire scrolls right now!

George mentioned the flowers from the bin - Griffin sent them after Nina was killed.

  • Comment number 64.

Morning Rebecca! Morning Aqua! Yes the flowers in the bin!

Will need to watch a couple more times - but still no clues about the cafe kitchen.. hmm... Was it something that Tom took before he went to kill the vamps in the car? That reminds me - lovely Darren Evans playing Dewi was great - he nicked the camper-van - but great.

  • Comment number 65.

64 - I can't see any thing in the cafe that was mentioned in last nights episode either but if in S4 there is no vampire who goes into the cafe and orders a steak it will be a waste of a perfectly good gag!!

  • Comment number 66.

Sad to see Russell's departure but, as Annie said, George had already gone. Also, seeing the fate that awaits old werewolves, I would not have wanted that for George.
I may be missing something here but why would Annie be afraid of the vampire policeman's knife?
I'm sad that I feel mostly indifferent about this opening episode. I hope to be won over again as the series progresses.

  • Comment number 67.

Well, last night's episode didn't really do anything for me. I know the writers had a challenge on their hands given that three major characters have left in a short space of time, but I felt they could have handled it a lot better than they did.

This, however...I watch this prequel and somehow my faith in the series is rekindled...

  • Comment number 68.

Well.....this show certainly has changed....I loved this little prequel though, very macabre =) & if Mark Gatiss is involved it can only lead to BRILLIANT things! I hope he has a cameo as an Old One!

  • Comment number 69.

    @shoepidgeon

did not see the scratches, but had to make do with a small kitchen telly and not the best light

still we have now werewoles befriending humans or is it werewolves only and no more humans at all?

    @breary
am I the only one who read 'stake me' on the back of Dewi
    ?

    @mistress denton
lack of subtitles is a real nuisance, can understand regarding foreign viewers but deaf people exist and watch the show
    ehh BBC , LISTEN!

  • Comment number 70.

SAINTIXE56 - I saw 'stake me' on Dewi's back, identifying him as a gullible sap. Likeable though. I hope he stays around for a while.

  • Comment number 71.

Morning all, loved all the humourous bits and pieces although am sure I missed a fair few aswell. Will have to go for a re-watch when I have an hour to myself and can pause, freeze, rewind etc. may feel more able to comment then. Enjoyed this first episode very much and look forward to the forthcoming ones where hopefully we'll see how the plot, characters and relationships start to come together. Poor George, but think best he joins "his Nina", he's a gentle soul really and not cut out for all that fighting and saving the world stuff! Farewell Russell - gone but never forgotten....

  • Comment number 72.

    About Old Ones
so it started by two brothers who lost their souls to the devil in return of immortal lives...
I hope TW has spiced up somewhere along the lines the 'theory' behind the Devil. mind you , it is excellent for me because I am writing some stuff and it is always nice to know nobody has had your idea/arc/theory before!!!
Hence 2 BROTHERS , which means two blood lines- explains why Wyndham did not want to see the WW culled. 2 clans of vampires whose agends may not be the same...

  • Comment number 73.

Could hardly sleep last night kept thinking about last nights episode.

    Buttt

    New Quotes Yaaayyy

"Ohh myyy godd thats human skin"

  • Comment number 74.

I didnt get all the 2037 bits who was that woman?

  • Comment number 75.

    @saffz

    hi, hi, happy Saint

she seems to be the leader of the resistance , is she a sarah connor type? we do not know
she seems human , but apparentlyy the black guy who stabs her at her request is a werewolf and is able to see ghosts and has scratches, do not ask me did not see the scars
anyhow if she is hhuman and he is a werewolf , they do not seem to know that a simple sprinkle of WW blood in the mouth and it kills the vamp
anyhow humans and WW are allied against vamps, that is if humans are still around. not so sure.

  • Comment number 76.

Saint, there are subtitles - I kept flicking them on and off last night and will watch the episode again with the subtitles on to get all the wording (especially Dewi!). My occupation is transcribing audio so I don't always agree with what the transcribers have heard but it can be very entertaining!

  • Comment number 77.

  • Comment number 78.

Ok...I am going to get this out of my system even if I might get a very bad reaction...and be forced to flee ;0)

But this is what I thought, and I will be very happy to be proved wrong since I loved this show since the pilot and consider LT a very talented writer (and really nice person whom accepted my cupcakes without calling the police...!)

I am not too convinced by this Ep. Many things felt wrong or just too quickly introduced...bit of a mess sometimes. And the future bit...thought that was a bit out of contest, and I mean BH contest. For me it was all abt three friends trying to be human...to live a normal life despite their super natural condition...and not realyl abt world domination, war or time travelling...this is not Doctor Who!!

I understand all the limitations given by budget, time-lines and actors leaving. And I don't criticise the decision of making a different show. But then, as I said many times at the end of the last season, I think it would have made more sense to end the fab four storyline at the same time, giving all of them a proper exit (Russel Tovey was amazing, but I don't consider George's last act or the way he behaved the whole episode last night a dignified ending for all that George stood for, and the "person" he was). After all, if Annie was ready to spend the rest of eternity with Mitchell in a prison cell, I don't see why she could not accept the going through the door with Mitchell dying as her resolution. Thou leaving Nina, George and the baby to move on from HH and Barry, and attempt to live a normal life.

Tom and any new character could have then moved on, without all the silliness of prophecies, a bad copy of Herrick, world war btw vamps and lycos (rather cliche and boring turn of event if I can express my opinion), and frankly the parallel story of another trio living in the exact same way in Southend (or was it Brighton?) for 50 years...(and don't get me started on the baby)

So at the end what I hope for the upcoming eps is a change of direction, away from the whole end of the world scenario, and more insight in the way Tom (he was the best for me so far!The cafe scene was hilarious, I loved every single line that came out of his mouth) and Hal will deal with each other and daily life struggle. Not sure what to think of Annie yet...I just hope that the motherhood/babysitting role will not be the only thing for her to concentrate on...

    ...and breathe....

  • Comment number 79.

Ohhh yeahh i didnt think of that, That black man could see her so he must of been supernatural.

I wana learn more about Hal he is fast becoming my favourite charater

  • Comment number 80.

"Don't answer the door to anyone, especially if it's one of those with bad skin selling j-cloths" !

  • Comment number 81.

On a single watch I think my favourite line is "Who'd have though the Old Ones would be so difficult to shop for?"

Of course I may find several more favourites when I watch again later!

  • Comment number 82.

"Have we got enough crossbows and catapults?"

You do get a sense that the Old Ones as Cutler points out do have a very obvious weakness one that is rarely addressed in vampire series - they live too much in the past their methods would fail.
So I do foresee a difference of opinions with the Old Ones when they arrive, this big threat might be negated by this.

Cutler on the other hand you get the idea that even if he is a young or old one is the biggest threat as he has a plan that might work.

As for episode one - the background was Vampires recruiting heavily what happened has delayed this put it into a tail spin slightly so that the immediate threat is dispersed and we can get back to the domestic side of things plot wise.
    At least for now.

  • Comment number 83.

George's blood-curdling scream - "Is that someone's phone?" And if someone's put this up somewhere, sorry, but did anyone else think the next words in Regus's time-wasting gobbledigook after Caecilius est in horto where going to be:

"Pugh, Pugh, Barney McGrew, Cuthbert, Dibble, Grub."

Anyone seen the brandy? Need a pick-me-up...

  • Comment number 84.

Oh and a small request for those that get screen caps - around 44 minutes in we see the complete prophecy chest if anyone can get that - much thanks in advance.

  • Comment number 85.

I enjoyed last night's ep and the Old Ones prequel. I was intriuged by the other supernatural trio, especially as it showed us what could have been - certainly not an idyll. Would we really have wanted George to get older and weaker, tied to a bed in his last moments, with Mitchell and Annie living in a vacuum before finally drifting away?

Our trio were always pro-active, making their own choices. Mitchell took his chance at a hard-earned redemption rather than permanent emotional stasis and George... I was touched that George, who always felt out of control, was finally able to bend the werewolf to his will and achieve something truly worthwhile. In his final moments, the werewolf served him not the other way around.

I hope Annie regains some of her former 'funeral parlour' self, but hopefully that will pan out during the coming eps. I'm not sure I like the Terminator/Dr Who development, but I'm loving Tom

Hi Ewan - I have a suspcion that calling the vamp HQ "Stioker import and export" hearlds some fun with th emythology and the - shall we say - 'classic' apparoach! Or at elast i hope so. Cutler did seem prepared to challenge anyone, it's gong to be interesting to see how he develops.

Will see if I can get that screencap (84) for you when I put my next blog post up, review should be up soon - or as soon as I can rewatch anyway...

Misty - if Toby can get the Trumpton roll call into a script then I'll buy him Camberwick Green!!

Ewan...in light of Nina's demise...I take back wanting to occasionally hit you with a baseball bat...I can make it "batter you with a fluffy bunny, that Lycan can then eat..."
Oh and there's another spirit floating around now, not a happy bunny, the words; "That little man Herrick got two death scenes...three if you count the unfilmed script with Hetty killing him..." and something about; "I only wanted them crucified, I want that pointed out, I said nothing about baseball bats, that's Griffin for you, no style..."

SaranethBell [78] I agree with your comments. I think a completely fresh start would have been better and I'm trying hard to see the new series like that without making comparisons with the past. Having said that, it would have been a pity if Lenora had been written out just because the other three decided to call it a day.

For me, the special chemistry between Aidan, Russell and Lenora shone through into their character roles and was what made Being Human so different from the other vampire/werewolf sagas. I so hope for the same feel to come back once BH4 really gets going. I want to feel my emotions being pulled from pillar to post again. Didn't happen last night, even with George's death.

And for anyone affected by last night's show...Wyndam's Wenches have now been renamed Wyndam's Widows...a group counselling session has been organised in the attic...the new counsellor looks strangely familiar... x

    87. battered bunny - thanks misty!

loved last night ep apart from 2037 fast forwards and what happened to weakening vamps with bibles and crucifixes when u storm there den!! (they must've been a soft lot to get done over by three/four others.

85.. thought that too about G actually using his Wolf to his own/daughters needs. Good twist in using his blood to vapourise Griffin (OO sucker upper!)
    - didn't see that one coming. That bit did remind me of Mcnair beheading Richard though.

Tom got some good lines but need to do subtitles to understand him and Dewi sometimes, best one was "Mcnair ate my parents, but he still gave me a name"

more l8er, now wheres that yummy bunny - slurp!

Just thinking... Lia was dead and dead as in dead when we were introduced to her , yet we know that she is alive in the AL and still able to meet Annie and brew trouble. right? So think... What happened to Herrick when he was in the interlude between head ripped off by George and Cara's reviving skills. His dark soul certainly went somewhere. If Mitchell's hallway is what is next for every vampire as in Apology Now Corridor 101, then we know EW is also in his own corridor and what is preventing a 'ghost' even if he is a vampire to follow another ghost into the corridors of Time. We may not have seen the end of EW at all... Sending vibes to TW...

    Last little nit pick...

Wyndam must've gone soft to let G stake him don't you think?
he looked scornfully at the stake as though it was harmless when G raised it too him in the WSB ep

Watched the episode last night but had to endure my mother-in-law talking through the whole thing. So, then rewatched it on iplayer (no talking allowed!). It was quite a rollercoaster ride. So many good bits and really like the look and sound of Cutler. My favourite bits: inside the new vampire HQ (Stoker import and exports, inspired!) there's a cage with a captured woman in it, labelled 'catch of the day'. And the choice of music, the opening scene in Leo's barber shop: Little red rooster by Howlin' Wolf.
Another rewatch is in order, I reckon.

    @ewan, lycan, susie
if we follow the two bloodlines, why not imagining one having a different approach to 'world domination' , living in peace with werewolves in some sort? just wanting the next stage as a 'supernatural' humanity? or as vampires live through cycles, depending on when you are turned, if it is by a 'crazed' phase your heir will be wild, if it is when a 'decent' phase your heir will be a sort of decent vamp?. again Wyndham , different from other OOs as not wanting to kill G/N immediately- I said sort of decent, I did not say decent. Mitchell 'sort of' but unable to be responsible for Lauren- Herrick certainly opposed to the OOs and keeping some humans as 'cattle'. Ivan, totally uninterested by the OOs schemings... Carl, totally embedded bu a human lover. did not prevent him for killing but going to SA (reaching SA is another question). Here we have vampires with partial unsatisfactory dealings with humanity, yet a lot more 'humans' than Griffin and the other policeman, right?

    96. SAINTIXE56 - interesting thoughts - parallel worlds - two brothers with different visions ? sibling rivalry? Did someone mention earlier about two babies on scrolls? I thought I saw two also. Not sure about the connection until I watch again about the 2037 girl time traveller going back to kill baby - does Eve find an allegiance with the OO's, will there be 2 babies - one evil one good? little confused - will re-watch and hope it becomes clearer??

Loved the first ep. I thought it was brilliant! Cant wait until next week when we get to meet Hal properly!
Regarding the voice on the radio at the start, im not too sure if it is Hal, when watching it with my mum she said it sounded like Mark Gatiss whereas i think that it could be Hal.
I cried soo much when George died, but i did have to laugh when they put Eve i the cast box. :D
