  • Comment number 1.

Oh Tom what have you got to show us?

  • Comment number 2.

    "Any medical conditions?" LOL.

To sound increasingly like a stuck record, transmission date....please? #begs

  • Comment number 3.

    WOOO HOOOO!!!!!!

  • Comment number 4.

    A very different interview there
    Mitchell - Distracted by Annie
Annie - A bit much with the CV
    Tom - It's just a folder

    Brilliant.

  • Comment number 5.

omg i'm not comment no.108! now i don't know what to say!! actually, yes i do.....that was really rather funny - less exciting than hal,but he's a character we already know, oooh i just can't wait now......

  • Comment number 6.

So we have gotten a Hal and now a Tom
Still a bit upset we never had a Nina prequel
Do we get the trailer next?
A new Annie Prequel as it's a sort of new cast?
    Or
    A Old One?

  • Comment number 7.

    When does Season four start?

  • Comment number 8.

WoooHooo! Just watched it! Sooo funny - I howled laughing! *nudges Ewan in the ribs* BOOM! BOOM! Oh I love Michael Socha. Brilliant.

Hello Steve, don't worry, your comment will show up in a minute just as soon as you have cleared Mod security!

  • Comment number 9.

Very nicely done – funny and poignant and a bit mad! How lovely to see McNair again and to see just what a huge influence he was on Tom.

“Fit as a butcher’s dog, me”

  • Comment number 10.

    Forever with the ribs.

  • Comment number 11.

    8. Steve - ah.. good question - we will find out any day soon. But I saw a tweet from Being Human to say that the trailer for Being Human will be shown on TV this week. Just keep droping by to check or you can follow @bbcbeinghuman on Twitter or as well there is a link to facebook - just scroll up and look at the box that says 'Elsewhere on the web'. Hope that helps.

  • Comment number 12.

    11. Oh if I could only reach your ribs... You could have moved the Blog sofa when you left Ewan - I had to go back and get it!

Hello Aqua - that is so true. Did anyone else think that the 'voice in the back' of the guys mother sounded just like the woman that played the Estate Agent at the beginning of S3. (Do we know who that actress is - we do, don't we?). Well maybe not - need an expert like Caradoc to listen.. :D

  • Comment number 13.

one thing is obvious , Tom knows how to manage an interview contrary to a late Irish vampire
no help from Annie, no tie, no ironed newspaper but a folder , an honest if liberal upgrade of his past professional skills and a hitherto unsuspected interest for old used oil to make ... bombs

I was hoping for 'do you have a cellar' and it was pitch perfect

    Tom, we love you

  • Comment number 14.

'This is Cardiff , not Dibley'

    OK! where's the vicar?

  • Comment number 15.

Tom's prequel for those of us outside UK (be nice, mods, please...)

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AWx1BYJFubw&feature=player_embedded#!

this was Very well done! "A folder" !!! "good with his hands!" rofl!

loved it. Tom is pretty clever!

one question - cannot make it out - what does he say about the oil at the end?

  • Comment number 16.

    He can make bombs.

    Fire Bombs for Vampires?

  • Comment number 17.

Oh I say Sunny! Well done you on finding that link! Got it now Ewan but thanks anyway! x

I really like the 'Tom theme' of the music. That's new, isn't it?

Oh yes, MikeyJGall just tweeted to say he was 1stAD on this prequel!

  • Comment number 18.

    Ah, thanks ewan.

sounded like that a bit, but to actually say that to the cafe guy, I thought, no, he wouldn't, would he? but yes, guess that would be Tom....lol!

and yes, I'd say for bombing vamps. Seems like its gonna be one of those series! yay!

  • Comment number 19.

Tom you are a down to earth star!

The cafe owner could've been from Gavin and Stacey

Employment History - Vamp killing etc

Other skills - used to working wiv me 'ands (snap! goe the vneck)

    Arts and Crafts - e.g. woodwork/steak whittling

Toms bombs - and theres me thinking he was going to use as fuel for the
    Mcnairmobile, good olde Tom

jus pondering.... did he keep Mcnairs necklace of bury it with him?

  • Comment number 20.

I think either way Tom will have his own necklace, That way we should see a bit of Vincent again.

  • Comment number 21.

    Arts and crafts! Loving it...

  • Comment number 22.

Good ole Vince, also Tom seemed to flash-back to the van in the wood when asked where he lived, must have been living on his own for a while before joining tothers at HH.

Looking forward to some more Wolf history and interested to get the mysteries
    on the OOs cleared up...

What age is an OO (do they have a ceromony and all the young "nipper" vamps hold them in awe and fear?)
    How do they gain entry?
Why do they like South America? (and not Transylvania)
How many OOs to change a light bulb?

  • Comment number 23.

I can imagine chip fat will make a very interesting incendiary device for vamp killing, kinda like napalm...deep fried vamp anyone...want chips with that? ;)

  • Comment number 24.

    Loved it. Well played Tom!

  • Comment number 25.

    Love it,

Went better than Mitchells job interview anyway,

"Fit as a butchers dog" LOL

  • Comment number 26.

    Oh Tom! What a hoot!!
    Hurry up S4.

  • Comment number 27.

Arts and crafts... loved it! And the comment about using the cooking oil, what a resourceful chap Tom is! It was still a much more successful interview than Mitchell's!
Hope we hear the start date soon!

  • Comment number 28.

Dearie me, I REALLY howled at "any medical conditions?" Well it will only affect him once a month, eh?

& as for being good with his hands.... well what can we say!

Can't wait for the series, but loving the prequels, getting me worked up & ready to watch :)

  • Comment number 29.

Brilliant! And some useful interview tips (bring folder!). Trying to work out what I've seen the actor who plays the cafe owner in because he seems familiar...

Just a quick question, but I rewatched series 2 a little while ago and wondered if anyone knew what the German (expressionist) film is that George takes Kirsty to see? Is it a real film or made up? I know it has lots of clowns in it!

  • Comment number 30.

That was very funny - I hope the rest of the show will be interlaced with this type of humour.

Liked the actor who played the cafe owner - hope he is in the series.

  • Comment number 31.

I have a special place in my heart for Tom. Isn't he great? And fit as a butchers dog too ... in more ways than one. (oh I am giving myself away here....)

No TX date yet. Sorry. *hangs head*

  • Comment number 32.

I have actually had my breakfast in that place when it was a cafe........!!!!
I really can wait now !!!
I have to say after meeting Mich Socha on set outside that cafe , what a down to earth nice guy he is & fair play he was brilliant with my 6yr old son too especially after my boy asked "Are you a real werewolf"...... (I'd briefed him before dragging him down to the filming set....LOL)
    https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v216/elisderyn/DerynTom.jpg

  • Comment number 33.

Now Tom is a main character I'm sure we'll see more personality and humour. Looking forward to getting to know more about him

  • Comment number 34.

Oh, and i was Lenoras_boy but changed my username to fit in with my twitter. Save any confusion!

  • Comment number 35.

@YEKIM MIKEY and @ caradoc good morning dears

@mistress denton very good morning to you, curtseying

Tom is awolfable , isn't he? A man of many talents and his clients will howl at the culinary delights he has in store for them, no doubt

but... but... no transmission date , yet

and that trailer-teaser rumour... rumour has it.... please, pretty please

    scrolls, no scrolls today ...

No scroll today, my vamp has gone away / The stake stands for lorn, a symbol of the wait
No news today, it wasn't always so The company was gay, we'd turn night into day

  • Comment number 36.

    Brilliant!!! x

  • Comment number 37.

Well that is just soooo well done, isn't it? Think we just about covered everything there - '...you can make bombs using that oil. It's a right faff but I'm quite good at it now. Kitchen through here is it?' ROFL.
    Michael Socha is FAB!

  • Comment number 38.

Morning All! Morning Mods! Morning Mistress Denton! Hey listen take a look at the extra content bit on the BH S3 DVD - Michael Socha in the shower! Definitely worth a butcher's *coughs*

    34- Right you are Mikey!

Saint - do you know the title of the German film that George went to see in S2? (see t&t's 29) - I seem to remember you talking about it at the time.

32 - Caradoc - aw great to see that pic of your little wolfling with MS again! So cute!

36 - *waving madly at Jen*

Hiya Sasha - for me the funniest line was the one about whittling wood! rofl!

  • Comment number 39.

Oh gods, Tom really is just precious

Cannot wait for the trailer this week...can we have it now? Please?

  • Comment number 40.

    Hi Time and Tide!
Do you mean Der Tod Des Unterhaltungskunstlers? Really trips of the tongue that...
I suspect it’s made up but very happy to be proved wrong if anyone knows better, not sure what it means, Death of the... something, clowns maybe!?

  • Comment number 41.

Cafe owner - isn't he out of Shameless?
Great prequel - love the humour
Looking forward to the new series
Bring on the trailer - pleeeese

  • Comment number 42.

There was a fair bit of filming going on down at the cafe so I'd think we might get alot of scenes there throughout S4. I found out that the dogfight scenes in S3 were filmed in my local abandoned swimming pool which is ,again , only 5mins from my house.

  • Comment number 43.

Thank you, aqua! So, 'death of the artiste' it is then. Hope it is a made up film!

  • Comment number 44.

    dee des unterhaltungkunstlers

at face value the death of the under...valued? artists- pleural

    the death of the clowns?

but I doubt this is a real movie, despite google and reserach on ferman movies afficionados website the clowns persist being alive and kicking

lets see what reverso website says

  • Comment number 45.

handlung is action in German for a movie

    kunstler is artist

    unter is below
    unterhantlung is distraction

would be anychance the unterhantlungkunstler be the artist who contributes to your merriment, fun ie Toby Whithouse himself as a joke???

  • Comment number 46.

Oooh look! @bbcbeinghuman have just tweeted this link:

    https://www.scifinow.co.uk/magazine-issues/scifinow-issue-63-is-out-now/

    Great!

  • Comment number 47.

    still at those clowns

Bearing in mind that Federico Fellini films THE CLOWNS was funded by german funds apparently from what I read on a French website
could it be the movie refered by George

because when it coms to 'so many clowns' this movie has plenty of clowns to show

  • Comment number 48.

OK there is some worry that we won't get a S5 because of BBC3 cutbacks. Well had a look at BARB site for viewing figures for top 30 performers :

Being Human averages 1.23m per episode
The Fades had 0.87m for first episode then doesn' show for remainder of series
Lip Service didn't show up in the top 30 at all

I know that you need to take account of what the shows are up against, etc but going purely on the figures we're miles ahead of the other two.

    So unless S4 is a disaster viewing figures wise, I don't think we'll be the one to go *fingers crossed* ?:^}

  • Comment number 49.

    probably more spoilers to come

    and thanks to @bbcbeinghuman tweets

Hi all! I was doing so well at going cold-turkey from the blog and I just had to hop off the wagon to say a big hello to all of you and to say how excited I am about Series 4! I have a feeling it's going to be a real cracker.

Ok, I'm off to whittle a few Brians before Series 4.

  • Comment number 55.

53 - It doesn't appear in the top 30 progs in any of the weeks it was showing Manc :-)

  • Comment number 56.

Inch! Oh Inch - I've missed you sooooooooo much. You're always so funny. Don't leave it too long before you pop onto the blog again. It misses you too!

And Look! Snowy! *big wave* Snowy missing Inch! ROFL! I miss you both. But this blog - it can eat up the hours can't it? But isn't Tom BRILLIANT!!
I liked the cafe owner too - seemed familiar? - surely he'll be "in it".

  • Comment number 57.

    @inch

    The Inch is back

Panda dancing, you are back, you are back

    Missed you sssssssssssssssssssso muchhhhhhhhhhh!

    Hugging Inch!

  • Comment number 58.

I actually adore Tom and his oh so adorable bambi eyes!! Got a feeling Michael Socha is gonna be incredible in S4 and I cant wait! He's very underestimated and I think this is gonna be his time to shine and he's gonna do a great job!

Loved the flashbacks in this prequel, I loved McNair and wish he could have stuck around a bit longer but then it wouldnt have given Toms character more opportunity to develop. The humour in this was spot on and I look forward to more Tom in S4! Bring on the werewolves =)

  • Comment number 59.

    a)
As there was a discussion on the German film "Der Tod des Unterhaltungskünstler" earlier on it's very tempting to contribute. Alas, I cannot.
Apart from that it means "The death of the entertainer" which you already figured out yourselves, I haven't found anything on such a film. So as some of you already said, it's probably a figment of LTs imagination.

    b)
A load of confetti is in order (as we have entered the carneval season) to express my thanks

to the lovely Mistress Denton for spoiling us
to everyone who put up the links for us non-UK-bloggers. Cheers!

  • Comment number 60.

what we need is to have a look at the film poster shown during the episode and try and remember if it matches Fellini movie poster, for those of us who were already adults around that time (feeling very old indeed as I was)
I have seen one but it is not matching what I remember of the episode

  • Comment number 61.

So its Tueday and still no trailer?

    Hurry Up

    "Who wants to be nice?"

  • Comment number 62.

    love michael :)
that prequel was amazing,Michael made me symapthize with him AND laugh at the same time
can't wait for the season to start- cannoot believe its been a year since s3 - time flies

  • Comment number 63.

Hello Buzzy! Can't we sort out a way for you to contact me outside the blog? Are you on twitter? Then we can help you out?

Just had a re-watch of Tom prequel - and realised that this café is in Cardiff - not Barry. Does anyone know how long it takes to get from Barry to Cardiff? Because I don't think anyone is moving from HH - they said in the backstage vid where Sinéad (*sob*) showed us round that it had cost quite a bit so...

  • Comment number 64.

61 - Saffz - hmm might be later in the week - before the weekend. I'm sure we'll find out before it is on. Oh, I wish I could say what that quote is! It's on the tip on my tongue! grrr.. Ewan will be watching me squirm!

62 - Hello Muse! Welcome to the blog - that is so true about Tom and I think Michael Socha is amazing too. x

  • Comment number 65.

I just watched series 3 eps 6-8 bring on series 4.

Manc its Herrick in the actic to Annie S3E5

  • Comment number 66.

Hard to think ive been a blogger for nearly 2 years.
I started blogging at the beginning of Series 2.
    Time flies.

  • Comment number 67.

    Wednesday
    Thursday
    Friday
    Saturday
and as the announcement came on Sunday That leaves 4 possible days for the Trailer with I'm guessing Date,

Discounting Saturday as a Non Week Day that leaves 3 days.

Also for the Hal Prequel we got to comment for 4 days before a new Blog. So it is sadly quite possible that we may have to wait till Friday before the Trailer and Date.

Doesn't that fill you with warm fuzzy feelings?

  • Comment number 68.

    63. Mancvamp, it's abt 20 mins by train to Cardiff. I stayed in Barry last summer and paid a visit to Honolulu Heighst!!!

  • Comment number 69.

I wonder why the announcement date has been postponed? Clearly our Blog Mistress was expecting to make an announcement on.. erm when was it now - Monday the 9th? Full Moon. Something afoot maybe... Usually a trailer falls just before the 9pm programme on BBC3.

I just had a quick look on the link to the BH facebook page. On the left it says that 17,411 users are currently talking about BH!

*whispers* I didn't like the trailers last year - they were sooo short and they only showed them once, maybe twice. I hope we get a BIG showy one this year.

  • Comment number 70.

    68 - Mikey - thanks! it's a lot closer than I thought then.

Funny that I'm now thinking about George's flashback - he worked in a café when he met Mitchell for the first time too. Remember that?

But for the start of series 4: I think that we will start series 4 after the birth of Fuzzy and that Nina will have already died in childbirth - like Ruby said. I also think that grief-stricken George won't really have any interest in Fuzzy and will be bitter and angry. So Annie is literally left 'holding the baby'
But, in the pics that we've been given, George is sitting in the café, that seems to play such a central location in Series 4 - but why? Why would George be sitting in that café in Cardiff. (Was the BH hospital supposed to be in Cardiff btw?) And why on earth would George, who is Jewish, be brandishing a cross along with a stake?

  • Comment number 71.

And why on earth would George, who is Jewish, be brandishing a cross along with a stake?

because it is easier to carve than a star of David, I suppose

or he is carving one for a Christian friend

the nearest thing to a vampire and it is not in Jewish lore is the golem, I repeat the golem is not a vampire but it is a supernatural being

  • Comment number 72.

    @MISTRESS DENTON

    please, pretty please
could all the CESSNA videos, prequels, postquels and all that sort of things be available again
or please could they be found on the season 4 dvd
    please, pretty please

and subtitles, please if you could remind TW and the BBC some people are hard of hearing, hence subtitles... please...

thanks you, crawling back to the door

  • Comment number 73.

Good morning all. Here's a photo of lovely Lenora at last night's Radio Times covers party. https://cdnmo.coveritlive.com/media/image/201201/cf4bd2a83660bd5aff65a085b1c94f92Leno.JPG

  • Comment number 74.

70 - I wouldn't read too much into George being in the cafe. It looks very photoshopped. I guess they chose the cafe because it'll be a major place. Remember, last years advert was in a supermarket(!).

That & George might only be in one episode :-(

  • Comment number 75.

to all bloggers who dreamed of a 29th January start...
    https://www.radiotimes.com/tv/tv-listings"sd":"29-01-2012 21:00:00"}
Young Soldiers is on at 9pm on BBC 3 :(

  • Comment number 76.

    @yekim

during the filming there was a cryptic tweet stating 'X was back'

knowing what we know now i.e. not Sinead, not Lee Ingleby, not AT and bearing in mind Paul Rhys/Ivan lives in LA, Ca we are left with... George in a one/off or 2 linked episodes or J WATKINS, but JW is pursuing a successful Trollied as a season 2 has been commissioned from what I heard...

unless it is Kemp/Jaggatt/Lloyd? somehow not reading X as them... we shall see and going to buy new SFX today!

  • Comment number 77.

I think the x is Adam. As far as i'm aware, he's the only 'returning' character that i'm aware of for season four.

SciFi Now magazine is out today, with Damien, Lenora and Michael on the cover. Interview is with the trio and very interesting.

I've given up asking when we'll see any sign of a trailer, i guess it will show up when it will show up.

  • Comment number 78.

77- Yeah, I think that it meant Adam too. However, will there be a ghost Herrick?!!!!

  • Comment number 79.

@77 Ruby: just pondering buying SciFi Now magazine but wondered if it was very different to what was in SFX?

  • Comment number 80.

    @ruby

    pondering at the trailer

as each prequel, Tom amd Hal alike happened on a monday... well if I had spare money to lose, would bet on next monday

    whaddayathink?

  • Comment number 81.

Oh I broke a heel getting in the door...all these blogs...it's like skipping in the playground at primary school all over again...

  • Comment number 82.

    @scotch_mist

BRINGING NEW HEEL and gentle reminder about a forlorn seer somewhere somehow somebody lost in England early 17th century... just a gentle reminder

  • Comment number 83.

How did you know they were purple shoes to bring that colour of heel Saint...?
Gentle reminder...is that why I heard the gentle purring roar of a werepanda last night? x

  • Comment number 84.

    @scotch_mist

purple... oops... oh my, thought those Louboutin sequined were just right

covering head with ashes in shame

Panda stating only gets into werepanda gear when deprived of bamboo shoots
    as eats, shoots and leaves

  • Comment number 85.

Oh and Saint...remember that lovely favour you did with the Hal prequel...any chance of doing it again for this Tom prequel...just asking...course started again...take a guess...no sound on theirs either...AAGH!

  • Comment number 86.

Louboutins...really? Have you got the rest of them, bit of superglue...I'll just chuck the old M&S ones in the bin...started next chapter, but won't be up this week...

  • Comment number 87.

SciFiNow is out and Ive just read all about S4 - They are all on the front cover. it sounds as though it will be good - different - but really good.

I think I understand now why there were no blogs since September. They were trying to keep it quiet about George and Nina not being in it and to give us a chance to get over the previous series.

With both George and Nina gone, this season is going to feel like starting again. Although I am really sorry about George, especially not being in the next season it does give the writers the option to, I suppose, start again and go in almost any direction they like.

Hope we get an air date soon - I'm really looking forward to this.

In the articel Toby says we, the fans, always get upset at the changes but in the end we are usually happy with the way things have gone.

I am positive I will be this time as well.

  • Comment number 88.

@Mancvamp: I'm following you on twitter from now (buzzbrain42), so just do the same and voila!

  • Comment number 89.

Afternoon lovely peeps. For what it's worth (which is nothing), I think we'll get the trailer tomorrow - once the option to view S3 has gone from front page. I think (read hope) they will replace that with the option to view the trailer. Now let me think, will I take them up on that option, I wonder?............................

  • Comment number 90.

    *wearily stumbles into the room*

    Hunnnnnnngry.

How is everyone today? I've watched Tom's prequel about 9 times now.

I love the idea of this naive, kind, yet brutal wolf meeting up with our cool, posh, lustful vampire - don't you?

  • Comment number 91.

Come on Rebecca - admit it, you're among friends here

    Hal.
    Tom.
You're thinking about all that cooking oil as well aren't you...

  • Comment number 92.

Hello Rebecca! Nice to see you.
The Tom "prequel" (but not really a prequel, is it?) was droll. Shame his dad got himself all Herricked... Three times the charm when it comes to job interviews, right?

    Now:
MANC! Are you here? You've just got a "Best Avatar Award" over on Twitter! *throws confetti* Congrats, hon!

  • Comment number 93.

    @scotch

it's a deal, you do your homework with Wyndham and I do mine with a werewolf keen to introduce his game cooking skills to Barry

but must be tonight as now... work

must say since BH started , I am been ever so disappointed with ... my work
