New to BH? Watch out, this post contains spoilers from series one...

Ok, so I've been rummaging in the back of the Being Human cupboard and this is what I've found...

1 x Pair of fingerless gloves.  Slight blood stain.

4 x Boxes of tea bags (empty)

3 x Party rings (Note to self: Post back to Bernie)

3 x DVDs - One Casablanca, one Laurel & Hardy... not sure what the other one is.  Will check later.  Probably a nice cartoon.

1 x Brown dressing gown.  Smells faintly of dog and scrambled egg.

1 x Map of Totterdown

2 x War medals

1 x Engagement ring

1 x Chicken on a string

1 x Hideous orange shirt with receipt

And what's this...?  It's only the original werewolf concept art!  Result!  Thanks to Millennium FX for passing on these gems.

See you tomorrow for another update.

  • Comment number 1.

    Thanks for this!
    This is really great!
uhm... if you want to get rid of some of those stuff... I'll love to have the fingerless gloves ;-)

  • Comment number 2.

Oh wow, that was great. Thank you Being Human! xD

And how dare thee karode01! I wanted them! Lol. :-)

  • Comment number 3.

  • Comment number 4.

WOW this is amazing!!! its soo nice of you to put everything up for us being human fans to see thanks again! its fantastic!!!!! x

  • Comment number 5.

by the way i also want the fingerless gloves lol!!!!!

  • Comment number 6.

oh its not working on my computer.

but ill fight u for the fingerless gloves

  • Comment number 7.

thanks for the link sperkii at least we can get another fix before the dvd comes out (its still not working :( )

  • Comment number 8.

why make such a fuss over the fingerless gloves, when you could have the orange shirt instead?!?

  • Comment number 9.

George can't remember what he does when he is a werewolf, but is apparently able to remember what happens during his transformation, ie severe pain, etc. So how come he can remember that but not what he gets up to when he's a werewolf?

  • Comment number 10.

oh thank you thank you thank you bbc3!!!!! Being human, sat 28th - hallelujah!!! I might make it ti the 20th april after all!!! I cant speak for ecxitement!!

  • Comment number 11.

sperkii, you are so smart, where do you find all this stuff out?

  • Comment number 12.

may be because he still has a human mind when hes transforming so can rememeber the pain as any human would but when hes transformed hes the wolf so has a different mind so when he goes back to being a human it all gets lost.

    does anyone understand that?

  • Comment number 13.

    that was for brookesiejennkins

  • Comment number 14.

oh and the fingerless gloves were mitchell and are quite cool but the orange shrit why would you want that just to hide in your wardobe never to been seen again

  • Comment number 15.

thanks Katy_1984, yes I never thought of that (re:George) that sounds like a good theory.
I was only joking about the shirt - Annie probably cut it up to use as dusters. I'd have Mitchell's gloves anyday, in fact anything belonging to Mitchell would do actually!

  • Comment number 16.

I must confesssssssssssss that it is not me who is smart at all but my helpful spy on the Facebook group I created

  • Comment number 17.

Wahey wahey wahey - cant get this video to work but found the press relese was gonna come on here and suprise you all but sperkii beat me to it as per :-D

Now then BH team why on earth did we have to find this out ourselves?!?! why is it not ont website? lol but brilliant news :-D :-D :-D and re run of the episodes on sat also great - any chance they are gonna be on i player to download so i can have em for a week?? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE?

  • Comment number 18.

Ok this is re discussion on last page but im moving it to here cos the last page has got too long!

Ok so IWTV i couldnt get the book from the library or the vampire lestat or queen of the damned but found some of anne rices late ones - have started vittorio the vampire and loving it so far :-) also have blood and gold - not too impressed with the blurb alhough ill prob give it a go.

Gonna order Martin on dvd i think cos i quite like the look of it :-) i think im more picky than i origionaly thought...

To whoever said im picky about vampire lore - i am a believer (make fun if you wll im not gonna lie lol) but have an idea in my mind of whats "real" and i dont mind complete fiction either even if i dont believe it it can make an interesting watch - i just dont like things that contradct themselves althugh yeah the sunlight thing bugs me a bit purely because i think they probably had it about right apart from that :-S so it slightly spoilt it for me but ill get over it :-)

Thing i really loved about IWTV was the historical-ness lol i do love the beauty of all the old costumes and the old settings etc - another thing im loving about vittrio at the minute (also ive always had a bit of a thing about italy - its the one country ive always wanted to visit and love the beauty of it which is really well written and wish theyd make a (GOOD!) film of it)

OK enough rambling sorry for those who really arent intrested but for those who havent read vittorio go for it its well worth a read (well ive read up to chaptr 4 and it is so far lol)

Oh and to BH production - if you do make a forum chat room or whatever please just make it plain and simple like these comments pages - i cant be doing with and graphics and loads of colour thats the reason i dont go on them my mind cant manage it at all lol just plain simple forum for grown ups no whacky colours and sow off graphic...not that you would we trust you!

  • Comment number 19.

OK apologies for major long post!

  • Comment number 20.

how marvellous. This is exactly the kind of detail i appreciate!!

    Thanks so much!

ok i thought of another request.. it might be a bit cheeky but .. you must have some audition tapes / screentests / rehearsal tapes for the actors... maybe let us have a peek? PWEAAASE?!

Oh and SO excited about the special. Only thing is, do they have time to produce something quality? Will they be able to do new interviews or will they recycle old stuff we've already seen?

Hopefully we'll get a bit of new insight... I'd LOVE to hear more from Toby. dead excited!

Oh and three cheers for replaying the episodes! hurrah hurrah hurrah! This gives me a chance to record it so i can re-watch and introduce friends to it BEFORE my dvds arrive. YAY!

and i second the motion for another run on iplayer. Surely one of the most successful shows ON iplayer counts as exceptional circumstances?

@sperkii thanks for the up to date info from your highly efficient BH network!

@eagle i do not mock! Everyone has their theories. The truth is out there. I agree the rich historical background is the best bit of IWTV - adds to the sense of sadness and loneliness and detachment that vamps feel..

Really hope u enjoy martin although i just want to warn it's a v weird movie!! Very obviously a product of the 70s.

You know what the worst part is?

I already WORE fingerless gloves before this began, was trying to restart the trend... but now everyone will think im a fad follower.

exact same thing happpened with the rayban shades craaze.. i was wearing them because i like bruce willis in moonlighting's style! not bcos topshop suddenly decided to run a cheap wayfarer imitation range for peaches geldof to parade around in in every conceivable colour!

I set the trends dammit! I don't follow!

  • Comment number 21.

Lol agree ive always worn the fingerless gloves nobody made a comment but now all of a sudden it must be because of a vampire fetish? lol ok are we all ready?

DRUMROLL PLEASE here comes herricks second blog installment...

(please do not judge my writing talent as ive taken approx 5 mins over it lol i am a pretty good writer honest but this is purely for ****s and giggles :-D)

  • Comment number 22.

Second instalment of Herricks blog on vampire website.

    My dearest friends,
Things in Bristol are still going brilliantly, unfortunately plans to rid our world of that exasperating dog lover Mitchell have been temporarily delayed (turns out hes not as “human” as hed have everyone believe! But of course we all saw that one coming didn’t we!) but as I said, this is purely a minor set back in our grand scheme…
I would also like to welcome our 7 new members since my last post and am sure that they will make us all proud and bring us all a step closer to our goal. Also on a more sombre note I feel I must inform those who are unaware – our numbers have dwindled somewhat since we last spoke – 2 of our number (Seth and Lauren) are no longer with us although I must stress they met their end fighting for our cause through to the bitter end and will always be remembered I am sure – after all what more a noble way to depart? We are all vital to the cause and each as important as the next so please raise a glass to Seth and Lauren who I believe can be an example to us all.
Now I must leave you as I promised to show one of our newest recruits (a lovely young girl who works in the hospital canteen) the “ins and outs” of our culture (what she lacks in hot chocolate making she makes up for in…erm…riveting personality and intellect…) so I must leave you friends and remember...
    No one gets left behind.
    W. Herrick.

  • Comment number 24.

Ok perhaps it didnt deserv a drumroll but i nearly missed the last one cos no one flagged it up enough lol.

And as for martin i quite like wierd films lol as i said before it always seems to be the big budget ones that do well at box office that seem to bore me - i think the story tends to get lost in a stupid amount of blood and gore and special effects - although this is by no means true of all films there are some brilliant big budget films so hold your fire please lol im more a fan of the individual vampire stories if that makes snese rather than out and out vampire war although ive not seen enough to judge i dont think :-S

  • Comment number 25.

eagle, sorry for spoiling your big announcement!

bexter2001, I owe it all to my spy on the Facebook group I created. I wish I could give them credit but i don't know their alias and I can't give their real name, obviously.

I am VERY surprised there was not announcement on here about it though!

  • Comment number 26.

yes me too im quite dissappointed in the BH bloggers for the first time ever lol although theyll probly tell us about it tomorrow we just beat them to it lol so then sperkii can i assume you are working on blog 3 lol

  • Comment number 27.

Oh goodness, no! I was very good at creative writing when I was younger but academic life has sapped it out of me for a while.

  • Comment number 28.

Nice one sperkii (comment #3)... well spotted about Unearthed, the Being Human making-of documentary which is indeed in the pipeline and is, I can exclusively reveal, full of NEW interviews.

This was followed up by a good question from eagle_eyes4 (comment #17)... We're of course holding back because we should have a much juicier sneak peek very soon.

    Stay tuned!

  • Comment number 29.

Yay, hello there :-D I'd just like to state again that I really can't take the credit fot that; it was all from a member of my Mr W Facebook group.

New interviews? *whoops with excitement* :-)

  • Comment number 30.

I cant believe no one has commented on herricks blog was it really that bad lol

But yay to BH production - new interviews i kinda assumed it would be all the ones on here compiled into a tv show - i would have been happy with that but this even better:-) any chance of the episodes being on i player again?

  • Comment number 31.

Well we thought the Herrick blog rocked! Hmmm... there is a chance the show might get an airing again for those who missed it (and those who want to see it again). Be patient BH fans! you know we'll let you know when we can.

  • Comment number 32.

I think your Herrick blog and the first Herrick blog by Lionesskeeper were very good. They made me laugh (in a good way).

Yay for BH Production being with us this late, hurrah! Sorry if we're forcing your hand!!

  • Comment number 33.

Yay :-) lol BH production - any news on us maybe getting a forum? Or...and this may be pushing it a Herrick blog lol we'll write it if you like but a proper page for it :-D ok maybe pushing and maybe nobody would actually be interested but hey i have no life lol.

And sperkii i agree - its nice for someone else to be here at this time although im slightly worried how routine this has become for me - im on here every night now :-S

  • Comment number 34.

Hey, that's how we roll here on the blog... We're night owls (or should that be vampire bats??). One thing we would say about the Herrick blogs... NEEDS MORE NANNA (ep6). We heart Nanna. She's mega.

  • Comment number 35.

Me too, even if I don't write.

Yes, I also said an official Herrick blog would be good :-D
I bet he talked to himself in the mirror

  • Comment number 36.

Yay, eagle, we actually have company :-D

    *waves enthusiatically at BH Production*

  • Comment number 37.

Oh and for those whove read herricks blog...it was written sometmie during episode 6 and also i know lauren did turn at the end but i assumed herrick wouldnt want his vampires to know this - given his speech to george about mitchell offering a choice etc i think hed want to keep anyone who'd turned as quiet as possible (i may have got this wrong though im sure we all have our own views) oh im really gonna miss herrick :-(

Excuse appalling spelling and grammar but im having a hard time with dodgy keyboard tonight

  • Comment number 38.

Oh damn i...i mean herrick forgot to put that bit in - it was there origionally just got forgotten...

  • Comment number 39.

    *waves back, also enthusiastically*

Agree that Herrick would cover up the Lauren situation. But the question is, now that Herrick has gone, how will the new evil forces try to cause harm to the trio?? It could go in many directions. I was wondering, do you guys have any thoughts about what might happen next?

I'll leave you with that one...

  • Comment number 40.

I can also imagine Herrick in the earlier days approching a victim wearing a cape and saying 'I vont to suck your blood' and then just after that saying 'No? Too much? Fair enough. Do you think I should be more [names a person he can mimic] about it? Yeah, you're probably right', before ditching the cloak and making his attack

  • Comment number 41.

Yay, I got a wave back *beams*

Oh goodness, I'll have to have a think about that question though...hmmm.

    I miss Herrick

  • Comment number 42.

Dont tell me everyone has gone to bed now?!

  • Comment number 43.

(added to my Herrick bit, just before the kill)

'...still, lucky for me I have all the time in the world to work on it. Shame you won't be around to see it but I guess you can't have everything..'

    or something to that effect

  • Comment number 44.

    of course not eagle!

  • Comment number 45.

oh fine it was just my computerbeng odd lol ooooh i want a wave lol yes thinking about that question now gimme a minute lol like the Herrick cape idea too lol can imagine him practising like annie did haunting :-D

  • Comment number 46.

Exactly. I can just hear it in Jason's Herrick voice as well. Oh, I really will miss him :-(

  • Comment number 47.

Hmmm, one thought was that the new human enemy was someone wanting to recruit the supernaturals to help carry out their evil master plan. But then I remembered it was a Professor, which points more to experiments and the like. I'm not sure.

  • Comment number 48.

Ps. I was recently given a note from one of our valued friends who goes by the name of Nana and I vowed I would post it on here so that it may reach as many of us as possible:

    Dearest Herrick,
I have recently been shown the basics of computer usage – I have to say for so long I haven’t seen the point of them however, yesterday for the first time I went “on the line” and was shown a website called “e – bay” it is like a shop on the computer I personally don’t believe it will ever catch on but I did come across some lovely photographs of my Adolf (how these people came to have them I do not know! I think he may have been something of a scoundrel!) anyway according to young Marco these are to be delivered to B. Edwards in a few days time. As you are aware I am to be out of the country for the next few weeks therefore I would like to ask you dear Herrick if you could make sure one of your young men is there to take delivery of these precious items? There may also be a larger item – I discovered something called a DVDVD player? I am not sure if you have heard of this but apparently it is the latest must have and seem as though I had such luck with the computer I thought I might try it! Although I am not aware of its size so perhaps maybe more than the one man may be needed to lift it? Anyway I must pack now but thank you so much for your help and I really enjoyed our little chat the other night you really are a kind boy and I am sure you and the girl from the canteen will be just fine she is lucky to have you dear!
    Love Nana x
So there we have it – whoever is front of house at B. Edwards over the next few days please be aware of the delivery and handle it as always with due discretion.

  • Comment number 49.

    Or maybe just 'slayers'

  • Comment number 50.

    Update from Herrick.
The last part of the letter was supposed to be edited out I do apologize Marco our resident computer wiz be a good lad and get rid of that will you and then this one when you have done.

  • Comment number 51.

Ok and back to me - sorry but i just love the idea of even the likes of herrick getting embarrased by his "nana" lol and also of him having girl trouble lol

  • Comment number 52.

hee hee, you see BH? You simply have to provide us with BH methadone or we'll just make our own! :-D

  • Comment number 53.

lol sperkii you like? sorry stupid punctuation again it happens when you cut and paste.

My god i think my future as a writer is well and truly ruined now lol im so glad this thing doesnt show your real name :-D

  • Comment number 54.

I must admit, I didn't take the whole Nana thing. I loved the 'good for appearances' comment about her but the affair with Hitler thing just seemed a bit clumsy and out of place. Think I am alone on that though.

  • Comment number 55.

Btw, eagle, I meant in BH itself, not your letter

  • Comment number 56.

And apologies to my own nan on whom that letter was loosely based :-S although she is of course much much younger but didnt know quite how old nana actually is lol...

  • Comment number 57.

I agree about the clumsy hitler thing, I thought it was crap. Also, they are supposed to be healed when they become vampires so bad hearing etc would disappear.
EE- Love Herricks blog btw. I have the Anne Rice books that I could lend you if you like. I'm obsessive with books I have to keep all of them so they're pretty used or well loved. So just poke me on FB if you want to borrow them.

  • Comment number 58.

I'm here again, all on my Larry as usual. I think the professor wants to do experiments on them. Either individually, or on how they all work together. That's why Toby sez in one episode they are seperated. what do you all think?

  • Comment number 59.

ooh, superochre, your here too, I think I just followed you from FB!! Lol
I'm trying to think of some funny Herrick blog like Eagle but I got nuthin.

  • Comment number 60.

And have you seriously thought about the fingerless gloves? You wouldn't want them. Sweat, food, smoke smells.. yak.

And for whoever it was.. I don't have anything bad to say about Twilight because I've never seen it. It's not really my type of thing but never say never. I sat through Mamma Mia a few weeks ago and I never thought I'd do that but I have to say that was truly the worst film ever.

  • Comment number 61.

I'm glad you said that. I've managed to avoid it, despite loads of people saying how great it is. I like ABBA. The original. Not the musical, not the film. Just ABBA. (even though it's not cool to)

  • Comment number 62.

Yeah FB makes this a very small world.

I reckon Lost boys is the best vamp film. The worst is one with Tarentino.

  • Comment number 63.

Thanks supreochre ive just ordered some off amazon :-) what a god send 3 dvds and 3 books for less than 19 quid i shouldnt have really - cant afford it but hey you only live once and its beter spent on broadnig my mind than such pointless things as food or rent lol

Sperkii sorry or dissappearig last night my computer went mad on me lol there was a lot of beeping on its part and an awful lot of swearing on mine! i wrote another post that didnt send too oh an not to mention i cant open my email so not impressed!

As far as nana goes i liked her i think you guys have to remember it is a comedy as well as a drama etc so not evey chararcter necessaily has to be intrical to the plot - a character can just be there for comic value alhough each to their own i guess - we had to find a fault at some point but personally i thought it was a great scene and if it weret for nana i think that episode would have been to srious - one of the things i love about BH is that somehow they manage to keep the comedy drama balance which very few other shows manage and i think nana may have been there purely for a little light reief - although im very interested to see how they manage to keep this up in series 2 when the storylines may be getting deeper and darker. Im wondering (hoping not!) if they might lose the comedy and market the second series as a drama? Please dont lose the humour we beg you BHPRODUCTION plese pass on that message to toby if hes still writing lol write us in some good one liners! More trips to ikea/the shin george!/nana/George get your lead/Are you planning to break it to her that you cross dress? etc etc etc...

  • Comment number 64.

    It's ok, I've got a washing machine!
And completely rambling off the point now, did anyone else spot that dressings trolley in the housemates kitchen? (I used to be a Nurse) who do we reckon nicked it, George or Mitchell?!

  • Comment number 65.

Well I really dislike ABBA (hate is a very strong word), and I really dislike most musicals so as I say it wasn't my type of film at all. Maybe it's good for those who like both of those things.
If we were all the same the world would be very dull.

  • Comment number 66.

oh, so you're up then are you, sperkii and eagle??!

  • Comment number 67.

eagle, I agree completely. Except I just didn't find Nana funny. Only Herrick's line about her reading the brochures and being good for appearances. I stand by my comment that the Hitler affair thing just wasn't funny and seemed clumsy and out of place

  • Comment number 68.

Oh and eagle, it was actually that the BH blog went down shortly after BH Production said their goodbyes. It was a nightmare. I was all alone doing my essay all night :-( Still haven't slept yet, as still working on it

  • Comment number 69.

So when does poetic license go too far?

  • Comment number 70.

This comment was removed because the moderators found it broke the house rules. Explain.

  • Comment number 71.

Oh ok strane coincidence cos my whole computer had a fit lol maybe just couldnt cope with the lack of BH :-)

And yes im up - since half 6 - first job of the day done and dusted so home again ready for my soup and a sleep then off to number 2 lol oh fun fun no rest for the wicked :-D...

  • Comment number 72.

Wel each to their own lol we cant all find the same things funny but i do think thats why the scene was there - a bit of comic relief lol. As for it being out of place not necessairly Herrick doesnt say when he killed her it coulda been just last week lol

  • Comment number 73.

I totally agree it was to bring humour to the scene which Watkins does brilliantly but I found that bit a tad obvious and weird.
But we are all here because we "LOVE" the show so it's ok to nitpick at certain things occasionally.
But I'm standing by my review of Mammia Mia. ;)

I've gotta go. See you guys later x :)

  • Comment number 74.

Ok i come on and everyone leaves - am i that boring? lol ok ill shut up if you like jst give me something to read :-)

Oh and they keep trying to get us to talk about the professor and whats gonna happen next series i think weve been specuating about the wrong things lol i did about 4/5 posts about it on the "ep 6 online" and "ep 6 have your say" although i think they may have been deleted by moderators :-( after that i ran out of ides

So BHproduction - its not because we arent interested were dying to know! Were just well and truly stumped lol i think the most common theory is that hes from some kind of research centre but im not convince :-S sorry guys - but im not gonna put a dampner on it because i cant think of a better answer!

    Ok ill shut up now:-(

  • Comment number 75.

The thing about ABBA is that, on the surface of it, it's cheesy music done by people in terrible 70s clobber. BUT the music is actually quite technically clever, considering they didn't have the technology there is now AND the emotion in some of the songs is quite moving because it was clearly at least part autobiographical.

Anyway, sorry, back to BH...hmmm, still not sure about the old Prof

  • Comment number 76.

o.k actually I've got half an hour.
I acknowledge that there might be more to ABBA than there seems but I'm just not interested. The same with Pete Doherty, damaged genius or wasted warbler? I don't really care because his music is dull to me. Same as the Beatles.

    Right the nana thing...
I come into the vampire thing from a slight IWTV view point (can't be helped) so it wasn't her age that bothered me, that seemed 'normal' and totally acceptable. It was the fact that she was still old in her hearing and sensibilities. That to me was odd and not in keeping with the rest of the vamps in BH.

I hope Bernie comes back and goes evil. That would be fun.

  • Comment number 77.

the new blog entry is faulty.

  • Comment number 78.

Oh Sperkii one of the dvds was dylan moran's monster :-) theres some pretty reasonable ones on the second hand bit of amazon so thats something to look foward to :-)

Yeah the professor im really not sure - i think you're going to have to give us some more clues if you want us to have a half decent discussion lol so far all we have (feel free to add if i miss something)...

    - Hes human.
    - Hes the new bad guy.
    - The fella on the phone has somehting to do with him.
    - Hes been looing for "them" suggsting something that inolves all of them - so more than just a vampire threat.

    - The 3 wil somehow be separated.
    - Someone will die.
    - Someone will kill.

Erm anything else? And this info is only assuming Toby is telling us the truth! Hes told a few fibs in his time hmm lol ive a feeling he may be trying to put us on the wrong tracks so that well see the show and go oh my god wow lol

  • Comment number 79.

BHPRODUCTION new page isn't working we can't comment on it :-(

  • Comment number 80.

Pete Doherty - dreadfful music, waste of space person, terrible role model

Beatles - completely and utterly overrated

Original ABBA - very good, just has 'uncool' image and has been ruined by cover versions, musicals and ridiculous film

Not Nana's age which bothered me either. and light relief was needed. Was just those two lines about the affair with Hitler which bugged me.

Yes, it would be interesting if Bernie came back.

what I want to know is, re: 'We've found them' - who told them about their existence to start with? Or how was it discovered? Don't mean when Owen said about them, I mean why were they looking in the first place?

  • Comment number 81.

Yeah Pete Docherty - i didnt even want to mention his name on here - total waste of space.

    Good questions sperkii :-)
also how did they find out about owen? was that guy someone who worked there? think we can rule out police becasue of herrick?

Just had a thought did Toby ever say that Jagat was human or did he just say the threat was human and we assumed it was him? any chance he was looking for them to warn them?

Oh no he did say he was the new bad guy...damn there goes another theory lol unless like i said its toby being naughty and trying to put us on the wrong tracks again and actually he turns out to be good? after all he lied through his back teeth about owen who turned out to be "bad" dont see why it couldnt work the other way round...thoughts?

The new page is being temperamental with me too. I tried clicking on Recent News instead of Blog and that worked. But then I couldn't refresh it. Glitch.

I have put another 'who is the new mystery enemy?' suggestion on the new blog page

    Ok, doing a Seth blog

    Dear Journal,

Don't understand what I'm doing wrong with Lauren. I'm only doing what Dr. Phil said to do in his dating special, not that it works. Note to self, kill Jeramy Kyle, totally unrelated I know, but the guy is creating a nation of idiots.

Can't understand why Mitchell would rather hang around Digby. Urgh, werewolves hate 'em. Bloody lot shouldn't even be on the planet. The best thing is beating them up before a full moon. That's the time to get them. Wouldn't dare go near one on a full moon(but that's something I won't be telling Mitchell)

Now if I could get someone to get me a bloody cup of tea(*sigh* I hate working reception, I always get the weirdos)
