Being Human cast photo

New to BH?  Watch out, this post contains spoilers from series one...

If Mitchell can receive a good old-fashioned staking and survive to fight Herrick, then the BH blog certainly isn't going to roll over and die just because series one is over...

That's right, the blog will continue over the next few months and right through into series two.  We'll continue to bring you insightful behind-the-scenes videos, keep stirring the discussion pot with ask-the-audience polls and bring you all the latest production news from the set of series two.

So if you're looking for a place to chat all things Being Human, then look no further.  We might even steal Toby Whithouse from time to time to let you know how he's getting on with all that writing...

So chill out, unpack your bags and sit back down...  The next few months might feel like a long time to wait, but if we stick together I think we might just get through it.  We've got loads of ideas for great features, but what would you guys like to see?  Or know?  Leave your comments below and we'll see what we can do.

And stay tuned for more updates soon!

  • Comment number 1.

Ooh my days.. First commant and I'm so excited about this I could sqeal! Thank you Being Human, I could seriously kiss you right now! xD
I thought the Being Human day's were gone until Series 2.
So, I'll stop the babbling now and sudden outburst of excitement and be off.. for now xD

  • Comment number 2.

  • Comment number 3.

    Yay :-) Thank you

  • Comment number 4.

i wanna know whens about seris 2 will be out ? will we have to wait till next year :( Thankss :) x

  • Comment number 5.

You guys are LEGENDS. Just when the withdrawal symptoms were getting unbearable, you offer us more bloggy goodness. Thanks so much.

  • Comment number 6.

    Yes I did actually...
unless you were terrified that your fan base would move on to something else over the next year or your funding got diverted to here of course.
But yay! "I think I let out a bit of wee there!"
I hope Barry Pilling has got a serious pay rise.

  • Comment number 7.

It has all been said in the comments above... and they are all correct! You are indeed legends!
So thank you so much to keep us in the loop!
    This MADE my day!

  • Comment number 8.

OK I'm going to say that actors and other staff behind the scene stuff would be great, competitions, give aways for items (signed scripts and stuff would be A_f_mazing), Comps for dedicated bloggers to go behind the scenes (as long as they aren't girly psychos-no one wants to see that) and I'm still waiting on those Uggs btw. There are so many things that I would 'love' for... set things in the house tbh.

I know loads of great, fresh'ish ways to boast young blog ratings for very little money but I'm so not going to tell you because it would make me feel dirty and this blog would turn into yuck within minutes. I hope that dedicated BH nuts who pushed for this series will get the best of these offers. But someat tells me it'll be a free for all this time next feb with plenty of upset.

I was so nearly finished writing, so close and then I read this new blog post but I'm def going back, right now, uhuh, now. *whens the dvd out? ;) *

  • Comment number 9.

    yay :)

knew you guys wouldn't leave us in no-mans land for too long....

as for what would make the site greater - perhaps a bigger gallery??

would also be nice to have a good screensaver (no idea how much effort that would take to do!)

  • Comment number 10.

Yay thanks you lot nice to know you arent gonna leave us :-)

Ok what would we like to see... erm everything you said really - a quick chat with toby let us know how things are going, and some behind the scenes videos while filming would be brilliant (obviously as long as they dont give anything away!) and i like the idea of the polls i tried asking which was peoples favourite episode/favourite moment etc but the comment got removed for some reason!

hmm what would we like to see/know - no doubt ill have some more ideas over the next few weeks lol but thanks BH production team you guys are brilliant doing all these behind the scenes videos and things theyve really made the series even more brilliant

  • Comment number 11.

good to know! i wondered how i would survive!
could you set up a competition for a script from one of the episodes... possibly??? pleeeaaase!
thank you wonderful people of BH online!

  • Comment number 12.

Yes I keep saying about competitions. To win 'money can't buy' stuff. And/or a charity auction. Although, would depend on the charity

  • Comment number 13.

YAY! Thanks beinghuman!! I was hoping against hope you'd say that!

Now i don't have to keep bombarding dead threads with wacky comments no one reads, cos there'll be new ones!!

    Okeydoke.. requests... wow...

Um.. ok well this is a lot to ask but a blog or discussion of ALL the vampire/ghost/werewolf rules would be good.

e.g... how physically present can annie be? she can pick things up.. but not ingest them.. how far can she replicate a human physicality?? if she cried and someone gave her a hanky.. would it get wet?

e.g. vampires dont have a pulse because i guess their blood isn't sustained by oxygen but by that 'life-force' malarky.. so are vampires hot or cold blooded?

e.g.if Mitchell's not drinking the life-force/blood will he start to age? what makes them immortal?

and most importantly.. do silver bullets kill werewolves or will anything do??

    um what else what else..

oh well yeah competitions would be great - particularly one whose prize was a set visit!! yes indeed.

actors/directors/writers commentary on a scene would be grrreat. not action sequence stuff but the artsy stuff please. But if not then at least put some on the DVD!!

writing competition.. we all submit ideas for a small one off comedy webisode and the winning idea gets made!

stories about the process leading up to being human going into production.. the fan support story, the personal accounts by the producers who got behind it, the casting process, the location scouting... more from toby on the writing process... where did the idea for the show originally come from?

fan surveys.. predictions for next series, polls on what we want to see happen (e.g. owen/bernie/tully return, Nina go evil rampage, Annie and Mitchell romance!!)

    fan-art submissions?

more in the photo gallery PLEASE!

a day in the life of the script supervisor...

and please please PLEASE... out-takes and bloopers.

ok. that's enough from me... for now ;)

  • Comment number 14.

oh yeah and durrr could we have like.. a forum for fan chat?

    you know.. a message board?

  • Comment number 15.

Yeah outtakes great idea would love to see that - my favourite bits are the videos by the cast - we really like seeing the cast and crew as themselves so yeah outtakes etc would be brilliant and any deleted scenes? if there were any.

  • Comment number 16.

also also another question.. gilbert told annie about an exorcist.. can exorcists really get rid of ghosts??

  • Comment number 17.

    Wooo! That's great news!

(Forgive me for the following, but I'm a web design student and I can't help myself, and, well, you DID ask..)

Any chance of a bit of a style overhaul? For example, have you seen the Horne and Corden mini-site? It's stunning! I'd love a little more colour, and to get it optimised for 1024x768 resolution instead of the old 800x600. It'd be great to see the gallery used a bit more, and the links in the sidebar could be updated to reflect more recent news (Narin has posted quite a few BH articles since the one linked).

Purely as an example, I've always really admired the Skins mini-site over on E4; it has an attractive design and the content is great, particularly the cast blogs and the pictures section. The latter would be great for showing series 2 production :)

  • Comment number 18.

...and more in the spirit of what you were actually asking before I went off on a design rant, do you think there might be enough footage to get another round of video diaries? They were by far the best part of the blog :D

  • Comment number 19.

    Bexter! Scene commentary! YESSSS.

  • Comment number 20.

agree with brownstudies on imitating skins.. but ONLY in terms of their website, please!!

yes and agree with more video diaries...it felt like the first lot were really edited down to just the funniest/best moments.. don't feel you have to spoon feed us the gold! I want the lead too!

ok..not lead.. that's a bad analogy cos then i'd have lead poisoning..

but ummm.. just give us all the footage you can please!

  • Comment number 21.

Maybe the video diaries could be more of a regular feature of series two... but perhaps the actor could take you through the making of a particular episode, instead. Taking shots of the cameras and setup, having a quick chat with a crew member integral to one of the scenes, showing the director interacting with the actors, etc. It wouldn't need to be one of the main cast either, I really enjoy seeing the supporting cast in the blog. it would be a more personal way of taking us behind the scenes, plus you'd still get all the adorable goofing around that the three of them enjoy so much :D

  • Comment number 22.

yeah that sounds awesome! just anything that gets us a little more insight into how all the elements of a scene/episode come together..

and i wouldnt want to give the cast too much extra work - i want them to give the best performances they can... but as lenora's diary showed, they've got time for reading the paper and impromptu dance recitals, so i think they've got time for a tad more fan-pleasing!

  • Comment number 23.

Another plea from a fan outside the UK. BBC has been so good to upload the blog videos to You Tube, but we are still anxiously waiting for Russell's video diary and his Q&A. Any idea when these may be posted?

  • Comment number 24.

Oh thankyou being human team. hears me thinking i wont come on yesterday and i miss all this.

theres some really great ideas up hear so i havent got anythink really to add but just what everyone else has said. yes more cast blogs and video diarys they were great.

its great to see all the fun but yes we want to see when its not going to well to that would good to.

and out takes id love to see those

  • Comment number 25.

I can't tell you how relieved I am that the blog will continue. It's fantastic news that Toby will be updating us re: series 2 from time to time. Without too much being given away I'd be interested to know how the characters will be developed further and how fantastic Herrick's character can ever be matched. I'd also like to know how the crew go about selecting such fantastic music for the show. Do they trawl through their own CD collections? Can't wait to see all the coming news!

  • Comment number 26.

Yes of course Ive got it....Toby could write me in as Mitchell's love interest. A slightly mature woman(41) as I think he would relate to somone a bit more worldly; with a bit of a mysterious past perhaps something to do with the new villain. Oh Toby we so need to talk!

  • Comment number 27.

Re: Comment 13 bexter 2001 - there is a Toby Whithouse group on FB and there is a link on there to an interview with him, which explains where the BH idea came from

  • Comment number 28.

Wooooo, there was me having braced myself for a long time without BH - at least until the DVD comes out - and then you go and announce this. Did you know all the time that the blog would carry on? You are mean! ;-)

I agree with everyone's ideas about what to see on here, and I especially agree more behind the scenes, and a general message board would be good, so we can post our own comments for discussion, rather than them get lost in the comments to a blog post - we're forever going off topic.

  • Comment number 29.

Well.. I don't know if these couple of things have been said so, sorry if they have.

    1) This is mainly about the DVD of Being Human. Maybe, (if you haven't already, of coarse) deleted scenes, outtakes, commentries on the DVD and not just on the website? That'd be brilliant for someone like me with no speakers (lol).

    2) I saw a couple of people talked about the gallery and adding mroe photos and screensavers. But maybe wallpapers? So we can drool over Mitchell and George everytime we go on our computers?

Thank yoooou yet again for this, it's great that you're involving the brilliant Being Human fans in everything. Not many producers, writers, etc. would even think of doing that. :-)

  • Comment number 30.

Nice one! Some fantastic ideas on this thread. Every single one has been considered and written down right here in my Being Human notebook (just next to this drawing I did of Herrick. Actually, it looks more like Sooty with teeth... Ok, Doodles were never my strong point).

Anyway, just wanted to say that we're already really excited about the new features in the pipeline, I promise you there are some corkers. But I can't tell you what they are just yet... muhahaha!

Stand by for more updates next week. Have a great weekend and keep those ideas coming. We are listening... x

  • Comment number 31.

    Yayness :-)

Noticed a new member to the FB group as well ;-)

  • Comment number 32.

I agree about the video diary thing - itd be better to have a bit longer ones - we dont just want the most interesting and funny bits - we like to see as much as possible - the boring bits too and maybe some from the crew as well as the cast if they have time? see what the different members of the team do? obviously this might be difficult because theyre all so busy but if you get the chance... but yeah the cast videos - less editing down please :-D

And ill say it again...outtakes please!

  • Comment number 33.

I've been really enjoying all the comments but apologies for appearing a bit thick but what is FB as I'd really like to read Toby's interview on how Being Human came about but don't know how to go about it? Many thanks

  • Comment number 34.

Oh sorry, I was worried the ol' moderators would delete it - FB = Facebook. I'd give you the link to the interview but that would get deleted. If you don't have FB, try typing bloggery pokery Toby Whithouse' into google

  • Comment number 35.

    ''bloggery pokery Toby Whithouse'' even

  • Comment number 36.

A big thanks to sperkii for pointing me in the right direction for Toby's interview - lots of insight. When I've tried to convert people to Being Human I've often described it as "This Life" meets gothic horror - must be the twenty somwthing house share thing.

You know what thank God for BBC3 otherwise I wonder if such fantastic dramas such as BH would ever reach us at all. I mean I loved "Ideal" that was commissioned for about 4 series but never got beyond BBC3 and starred Jonny Vegas. It's so great to have writers and production prepared to take a bit of a chance. Will get off soap box now and enjoy mellow red wine!

  • Comment number 37.

The bloggery pokery interviews a good one im so glad he changed it from the origional although mitchell as a sex adict - i could kinda imagine it lol

  • Comment number 38.

oh i think thats the one about the sex addict thing? not sure now ive said it ive read so many lol

  • Comment number 39.

You really should be an admin on the FB groups eagle

  • Comment number 40.

Hey sperkii you're up :-) admin on facebook why for?

  • Comment number 41.

Am always up late. Plus am watchng Comic Relief - resulting in the usual floods of tears :-(

Admin for the FB groups about Toby, Jason & Alex (Gilbert). I am pants coz I have so much essay writing to do that I haven't got time to add interesting pics and links etc

  • Comment number 42.

lol yeah im planning on seeing it throgh to the bitter end - james (corden) is doing the last leg and he reckons everyone will have fallen asleep lol. Comic relief - best night of the year i do hope we have all rang the nice people and donated some cash??? even if its just a little bit come on guys every little helps....

  • Comment number 43.

Quite right :-) and the recession is no excuse whatsoever!! We are SO lucky

  • Comment number 44.

This comment was removed because the moderators found it broke the house rules. Explain.

  • Comment number 45.

I agree - so many people i have asked tonight have said they havent given because they are skint but i guarentee you they will have at least 1 take away next week or go out drinking at the weekend or buy a new top or about a million other luxuries which surely we could all go a week without to give just 5 or 10 pounds?

Ahem ok i shall now get off the soap box just something i feel quite strongly about....

  • Comment number 46.

What a suprise it got removed by the moderators!! it was the comic relief phone number you heartless just ugh well here it is again minus the phone number so (just go on the website for the number if you need it guys)

And for those of you reading this tomorrow come on its not too late :-) so many people dont donate because its not on their doorstep but you never know you may one day (god forbid) need the services of one of these fantastic charities and then well then youll wish that you and everyone like you had donated when they have the chance so [phone numbers removed]

OH and mods if you delete that because it contains a phone number you really are heartless! its a bbc thing anyway so you shouldnt hmm.

Wahey Graham Norton now then its the lovely James Corden and Matthew Horne we really have been blessed tonight - starting off with the simply gorgeous david tennant (realised for the first time tonight how truly sexy that man is lol) and ending with horne and corden and about every other comedian in between!! it has been amazing if anyone missed it you missed a serious treat guys!

Sorry its not bh related but its still bbc and its really really important and i know you are all lovely generous people :-)

  • Comment number 47.

No, that's EXACTLY what I think. I think it's actually shameful that people would say that they can't afford to give to charity but then they buy the latest gadgets and clothes and go out drinking etc. It's unforgivable really. No matter how poor we are, there are people who are far less fortunate than us and we have a duty to help them, even if with just £1 or 50p.

  • Comment number 48.

I actually feel guilty every time I drink clean water, eat a meal etc etc if I haven't given at least a small amount of money to charity every year. We take SO much or granted. Plus even if people TRULY just can't afford to pay money to charity themselves, they can always do something to get sponsorship from others and still make a difference

  • Comment number 49.

Exactly - i know its hard for a few weeks surrounding things like comic relief and children in need we go all charity minded but then we forget about it for the rest of the year :-( its shameful really but as long as we give something some time it is always better than nothing like they said - £5 can really save a life - whats that? the price of a pizza? its less than an hours pay for most people - would you work for less than an hour to save a childs life? i think put to a lot of people like that they would jump at the chance...

  • Comment number 50.

  • Comment number 51.

AND, it helps loads of charities in the UK.

  • Comment number 52.

Lol ive a feeling there are going to be a few people rather annoyed with me in the morning for the long preaching posts but i do just think its so important - an awful lot of people work really hard to put on an amazing show for all of us comedy lovers - and i think that the least we can do is give them a few bob....

  • Comment number 53.

Yeah i really like the fact some of the money stays in the uk - there are some amazing charities here as well as in Africa - thats the great thing about comic relief it helps such a broad range of charities

  • Comment number 54.

I really don't care if people are annoyed with us for this eagle; for once I don't feel bad in the slightest for highjacking the BH forum! This is important!

  • Comment number 55.

The thing I love about Comic Relief as well, is that you can trust them with your money - I have worked for a well known animal charity and it surprised, and disheartened, me where their money went. Comic Relief, Shelterbox, Prince's Trust & Royal British Legion are my fave charities. Even 50p or £1 people, PLEASE.

  • Comment number 56.

I dont mind about annoying people with this either to be honest - you're right it is important and people shouldnt get annoyed - if they do im imagining its mainly guilt.

Woohoo on a lighter note lots of nice men getting naked now - another reason i love comic relief lol.

Something that really sent a wobble through me the other day (i work with kids) and we were talking about red nose day and about people who dont have a tv or a nintendo ds etc and how some of them cant even afford to buy food - a little boy came up to us at the end and told me that he gets his pocket money on saturday and if he gives it me will i buy them all a mcdonalds. made me laugh and well up a bit at the same time - kids may be blunt at time but also they can be incredibly sweet.

  • Comment number 57.

Yay! David Tennant was just back on *swoon*

  • Comment number 58.

I know*^_^* Oh my God that white suit, be still my beating heart for it's beating very quickly.

Still cannot see the vid, thanks for posting it up but it's put under private, please fix.
And also could you put up the vlof belonging to Russell, much obliged

  • Comment number 59.

Vlog, I meant vlog. I'm sorry.

(Vlof 0_0......what the hell is a vlof)

  • Comment number 60.

Lionesskeeper, bless you, you've been waiting for a while now haven't you? :-S

  • Comment number 61.

lol im sorry id do it if i knew how - they work better for me on youtube too.

Im just flat hunting on rightmove and theres someone with the BH cow picture on their wall - the one the guys have in their living room - is it like a famous picture or something or is that a really bizzare coincidence lol

  • Comment number 62.

hey eagle and sperkii nice campaning you did last night (i gave if that helps?!!!)

If i knew how id put it up for you lionesskeeper im still quite new to the tinernet.

I cant wait to see what the bh team put up for us next week. I hope its another blog i love them

  • Comment number 63.

lol thanks and great stuff that you gave something :-D i cant watit for our next blog i still come back and check everyday just in case lol good way of wasting a bit of should be working time :-)

  • Comment number 64.

  • Comment number 65.

Honestly I leave you alone for 5 mins and chaos ensues!

I foolishly thought I could wean myself off this site now there's no more Series 1 left, but you've dragged me back with your promise of exciting things to come. Damn your eyes BH you evil temptress.

Ideas - nothing original, but I guess definitely wanted as so many others have already suggested them

    - Outtakes - yay!

    - Bigger Galery.

    - More about the artwork - ie sketches of costumes/storyboards/setdesigns etc.

    - More in depth look at all the different roles make up camera crew director/editing stuff

    - Competitions where you win summat interesting a dinner date with Mitchell?? ;) or just a a day watching filming/interview with one of the cast/ being an extra.

    - Peetaking episode just on the web. Perhaps the ol classic of a dream sequence each, where all manner of rediculous things can happen. Ie role swap, George becomes the ultimate cool vampire, and even gets to have a love affair, except it's with Herrick or Seth in sexy lauren style clothes. Annie turns hairy and scary, Mitchel minces about in grey flappy clothes a curly wig and uggs.

  • Comment number 66.

thank the Lord, I really didnt know how I was going to live until the DVD came out, if the BBC shut down the BH blog!!
I think a competition to win a day on the BH set sounds good. also any auctions of bits left lying around, eg george's glasses, mitchell's gloves etc any iconic memorabilia like that!

  • Comment number 67.

Ohhhh, this is good news. I thought the blog stuff would end, I just kinda came on here (out of boredom) to re-read old stuff.

Yay, I hope (and am sure) that there will be good stuff to read soon.

  • Comment number 68.

@ oh_suzi YES for the dream sequence webisodes that is genius lol!!

@ beinghumanproduction thanks so much for your amazing efforts to keep this site interesting for the fans and for letting us know we are being listened to. it's nice to know that there's quality people working on every aspect of the show and its publicity.

  • Comment number 69.

    @ sperkii

thanks so much for that interview with toby link!!

Wow that is SUCH an interesting genesis story. I really like that the characters began simply as human beings with human problems. Mitchell as a recovering sex addict? LOL. I guess that's still kind of true actually.. All those problems stayed with them.. just with an added... twist!

    Fantastic stuff :)

  • Comment number 70.

Well Mitchell is kind of still a sex addict - obviously theres the blood addiction but Mitchell more than the other vampires seems to have a liking for what has become known as "the lauren treatment" lol his weakness seems to be for the sexy ladies - his lust is very much tied in with his addiction - whereas Herrick and the others just seem to want the blood no matter who it really comes from (ahem Nana!)

    What do we think?

Oh and Bexter by the @'s id hazard a guess that you are a tweeter? :-) i my be wrong...

  • Comment number 71.

    Yes, I have sperkli. But I'm patient....to a point.

  • Comment number 72.

see, I'm always here on my own, you lot are probably still in bed after being up late again!!
I think you're right about Mitchell, eagle_eyes, I can't imagine him converting any old biddies or dinner ladies!

  • Comment number 73.

lol well unless he fancies a bit of the mature lady now and again but i still think its linked in his brain

  • Comment number 74.

OMG this is like a dream come true, i thought i'd just log on and see if anything new had happened and WOW there's like s**t loads of new blog! Having read a few i'm loving the ideas you've all come up with and what a fab idea for a chance for one of us BH fans to have the chance to win a 'money can't buy' prize, such as the day on the set. That would be great!! Sorry don't want to sound like a parrot but 'more gallery pics', 'more video diaries' etc etc PLEASE. And Toby some of your wild, vivid, spectacular notions on vampires, Lycans and ghosts you realy do have a nack for answering all those mad questions!! :0

  • Comment number 75.

Yay! I can't wait for Series 2 and I'm so relieved I can still get my daily dose of Being human. I'm actually obsessed with this show! Can I be an extra next series I'd make a great vampire lol

Thanks so much for keeping the blog up. IF you're answering questions - I have one that's been bugging me. What is it with Mitchell's hair? What does Mitchell do with his hair? Does he cut it himself, or is there some vampire barber who won't faint upon noticing he has no reflection?

  • Comment number 76.

aww, yay, new bloggage, more opportunities for me to ramble and gush about ... well ... everything ...Now if only I could actually come up with some decent suggestions or questions, that would be great. I like the whole for-charity idea though. Most definitely. All us die-hards hovering about the blog must deserve something :P as well as, or course, the fact you lovely people are going to continue putting stuff up here... aww, aren't you nice? :D

    See, told you I'd ramble

  • Comment number 77.

Raiden616 - technically his hair shouldnt grow lol vampires hair shouldnt although in episode 4 it shows how his hair is different lengths at different points and also he has a tash at some point too so i dont really know i guess he does it himself id have thought - i guess after a 100 odd years of practice hed manage it lol

  • Comment number 78.

Hee, I think they would have to put up a forum with all these conversations^_^

  • Comment number 79.

    Yay, more bloggage :D

I agree with the folks who suggested having an actor make a video diary taking viewers through the making of a particular scene, that'd be pretty cool. Or videos of the guys rehearsing.

Maybe some fun stupid stuff like games on the site...a vampire-staking one?!

Are we having to wait until next year for season two? No chance of hurrying things up and getting it on tv by, I don't know, next week?! ;)

  • Comment number 80.

just read Raiden616 comment from last night and really did lol!! I never thought of that! Looks to me like Mitchell cuts it himself! or perhaps he asks George or Annie to give him a quick trim. If Herrick converted a make up artist along the way I'm sure he must have bitten at least one barber/hairdresser as well!

  • Comment number 81.

Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou...that pretty much covers it really

  • Comment number 82.

Just been watching Mitchell's prequel again ....is that the same car he has in present day; it's obviously some 1960s model?

  • Comment number 83.

I'd like to see some more mini website only episodes (like the prequels) and video diaries from the cast/Q + As.
And I really liked the idea of fans sending in ideas for storylines/episodes and winning something like a trip to the set. Or how about a competition for best fan video/artwork/fan fiction?

  • Comment number 84.

I'm not convinced Mitchell's vampirism is just about the sex (as in only choosing pretty girls). Throughout the series it was mentioned several times that Mitchell had killed/fed from other men --- so either it's not always about sex or Mitchell is more broad minded than we realise :)

I agree jaynedoll; in the past Mitchell has almost been full of contempt for his victims saying that they almost run towards their death be they male or female. But I think more recently when trying to close the gap between his vampire self and humanity he is behaving more like the hetrosexual male that he aspires to be i.e. too gorgeous for words!

1 hour, behind-the-scenes special, followed by the 1st 3 episodes, with the last 3 being shown the week after. Hurrah!

I am so happy that the show is continuing. Maybe bring back the actors from the pilot to play characters or love interests for the current 3? Something taboo but hey it could be fun.

Apparently Toby doesn't know as much as he or the
production company should (prior post from

Having watched (and greatly enjoyed) the entire
series, it's a real pity that such liberties are
being taken with so many well established and
powerful aspects of the lycan and vampyric mythos'.

The first thing that gets me when George, unless
he's simply being hyperbolic, says, that he's not
immortal... Of course both Lycans and Vampyres are
    immortal (barring a good slaying that is of course);
and both creatures heal almost instantly...

Lycan senses are elevated all the time - as are
a vampyre's. And WTF is up with Mitchell eating
and drinking food/beer/etc?! he's dead - no digestive
system; no working renal function (he doesn't pee nor
poop)... I could go on but I won't.

I'm all for creative license with regard to reinventing
elements and adding to them, but please, let's do keep
the basics intact - they make for a much better show
    and adventure.

In other news, I'm beside myself with joy at knowing
that there will be a second series to this excellent
show - other than the mucking about with the mythos'
foundations, the writing has been spot on and kept
me entranced and hugely entertained and definitely wanting
    more, with each episode.

    Thanks and Cheers!

After months of trawling through the plethora of extraterrestrial and supposedly horror series with production content and that over serious, self-satisfied acting and direction more scary than the content, along comes a well written series with characters with 3 dimentions. I care about these people, I have great fear of their enemies. The refreshingly human dialogue and simple direction brings this series to a level where the viewer can see that the dilemmas involved do not necessarily have to be that of a Vampire a werewolf or a ghost. We can find all of our own truths in their actions. Long may it last.
