New to BH? This post does not contain spoilers, but the comments might...

Toby Whithouse, the creator of Being Human, talks exclusively to the BH blog about the journey from pilot to series and the impact the fans have had in getting the show back on our screens.

Being Human kicks off Sunday 25th January at 9pm on BBC Three.  And just a tip... head straight here after the show for a brand new behind the scenes video that blows the lid on all things vampire.

Don't miss it!

hey! what happened to my Lancashire ghost?

Hope I'm just having a grumpy night, but the direction seems to have lost its swagger compared to the pilot.

Apart from the recasting, this was absolutely true to the spirit of the pilot. I had read reports that the series would be lighter and lose the vampire plot - so I'm glad that neither of these turned out to be the case.

I had thought that the first episode might just be a re-do of the pilot. In the end, I think this brought plenty for existing fans and new viewers.

This is top drama BBC. Nothing like it before. Very bold and definitely a cult classic in the making
First class writing, plotting and great characters. Nice balance of humour and horror. At its best when it does realism. What would it be like if there were vampires and ghosts and werewolves living amongst us..How do these three fight their afflication/curse and do battle against their own kind is really engrossing.Love Eric the vampire policeman and the emerging werewolf leader. Okay fantasy, but done in a real gritty way - and some brilliant one liners. will watch again and again and can't wait for next episode

Shame about the loss of some of the wit and interplay between the characters. There also seems to be less of a connection between these three actors as there was in the pilot.
I enjoyed the pilot and to a point this first episode, so I hope that all I have missed will be evident in the episodes to come.

If no image of a vampire can be captured? How did they get a photo of Mitchell for his work ID card he wears?
