How can reordering numbers into number bonds help me add them?

Snoot and Fin rearrange numbers and make number bonds when adding moons.

How can you make adding lots of numbers easier?

If you have to add three or more numbers it can help to use number bonds.

Number bonds are pairs of numbers that you already know make another number.

You probably already know some number bonds to 10, like these.

  • 1 + 9 = 10
  • 2 + 8 = 10
  • 3 + 7 = 10
  • 4 + 6 = 10
  • 5 + 5 = 10

If you can spot these in a sum, try adding these first before adding the other numbers.
