What makes an act ‘wrong’?

The question of ‘what makes an act wrong?’ will receive different answers from different people.

Some will believe that an act is wrong if it breaks the law, eg stealing or driving over the speed limit.

Others will have a different opinion and believe that ‘wrong’ acts are ones that hurt, or have the potential to hurt others.

Some people will also refer to religious beliefs and may believe that it is ‘wrong’ to break the commandments outlined in their sacred texts, such as eating food which is not considered kosher.
