Daily lessons coming soon
Beginning Monday 20 April, BBC Bitesize will publish daily online lessons for all ages. We'll also have a new dedicated TV channel full of learning content, podcasts on BBC Sounds and loads of educational video on iPlayer.
Stars are formed from massive clouds of dust and gas in space. The time they burn for and their life cycle depend upon their size. Stars are grouped in galaxies. Many galaxies make up the Universe.
A star goes through a life cycle. This is determined by the size of the star. The diagram summarises the stages:
