Knowing God through religious example

Some people see God at work in this world in the lives of others who serve Him.

By spending time with a religious person, it might be possible to experience what God is like through that person because they are so in touch with God.

Mother Teresa was a Roman Catholic nun who believed God called her to work with the poor and dying in Calcutta (the capital of the Indian state of West Bengal). Her example helps people experience God’s love and care for the poor and encourages others to do the same.

Martin Luther King, Jr. (a 20th Century civil rights activist and Christian minister) believed God called him to a non-violent fight for the equality of all races. His example helps people to experience God’s love which is for all people without discrimination. It encourages people to treat all people equally as God does.
