After the murder

Act two, Scene two

The morning after the murder, Macbeth feels guilty. He is so shocked, his hands are covered with blood and he still carries the daggers.

Lady Macbeth has to take control of the situation and goes to smear Duncan's servants with blood.

Act three, Scene four

Macbeth has remembered the witches' prediction that Banquo will be the father of kings. A banquet is being held to honour the new king Macbeth.

Macbeth finds out Banquo has been killed, but Fleance has escaped. Macbeth sees Banquo's ghost and draws suspicion upon himself by his strange behaviour.
