This clip could be used to assess students' understanding of the different states of matter. As they watch, students could use flashcards to identify when the clip is showing a gas, liquid or solid. It could also provide inspiration for students to create their own gallery of gases, liquids and solids by collating pictures taken from home or around school.

Alternatively, students could create fact files on how to change from one state to another using the correct vocabulary including evaporation, condensation, heating and cooling.
