The first part of the clip could be used to introduce students to the concept of a Civil War, the role of the Welsh in the war and what it actually means. Following this, students could identify and list the causes of the war. This list could be explored at a later point or as a consolidation exercise. In order to explore the chronology of the war the clip could be used to complete a timeline of key battles and key events. Students could also look at the key Welsh people associated with the Civil War with particular focus on Pembroke and St Fagans.
