A picture cell, similar to that of traditional film-making, is made using cardboard and cling film. A simple balloon image is painted onto the cell with foreground and background layers added for greater depth. A box frame is made to combine these images. The image is then multiplied to allow a simple stop frame animation to be created. Suggestions are offered on how to vary the design and how to use a tablet to make a quick and simple animation.
