After great success at the Battle of Stirling Bridge, William Wallace's army once again faces the English. This time, Wallace's men suffer a bloody defeat at the Battle of Falkirk. The clip could be used in conjunction with the Battle of Stirling Bridge clip to contrast the two battles and explain the very different results. Pupils could discuss the impact of the battle on both sides.
