The hare bumps into the tortoise and laughs at its slowness. So they have a race to see who is the fastest animal in the forest. But the hare gets distracted on the way to the final flag - who will win?
Before watching the clip, the teacher could teach the contrasting words of ‘fast’ and ‘slow’ and ask the pupils to guess who will be fast and who will be slow, then the students will learn to say ‘Hare is fast’ and ‘Rabbit is slow’. After watching the clip the pupils can be asked who they think is fast and who is slow, and why. The teacher could also combine it with a cultural workshop of a rabbit or a turtle paper cutting.
